Latest update on WWE superstar Big E’s return
Big E, a former WWE Champion and part of The New Day has been out since March 2022 after sustaining a horrific neck injury on an episode of Friday Night SmackDown.
Despite being away from the ring for more than two years, Big E has stayed busy, making countless media appearances and delivering commentary on WWE Countdown and Kickoff broadcasts before and following premium live events.
He now looks to be optimistic about making a comeback in the ring. Big E recently told Sports Talk Philly’s Kyle Odegard that his forthcoming neck scans, which are slated over the next three to six months, will determine if he can return to in-ring action.
“I’m just taking every day as it comes. I know that sounds cliché, but I get scans again in another 3-6 months, and if they look great and the doctors say it’s healthy for me to go back, then we’ll sit down and talk about it,” said Big E.
His rehabilitation has been sluggish, with many concerns and worries. Nevertheless, Big E remains optimistic about the future. He has always stated that he is grateful for whatever happens from his injuries and that he is excited to pursue other chances outside of wrestling.
This is one of the first times he appears thrilled and hopeful about returning to the ring if approved by medical officials. He went on to say that positive scans would prepare him to “attack it fully” if given the go-ahead.
Big E’s prospective comeback is especially fascinating given the recent difficulties between his New Day allies, Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods, on Monday Night Raw.
Some fans have theorized that Big E may make a surprise comeback to television to arbitrate the two’s escalating spat. This is not to imply he would become physically engaged, but if he feels good, he could do more than just speak from an announce table.
