WWE has some of the most compelling heel characters on the current roster

In the context of the professional wrestling world and the global juggernaut, WWE, the superstars are divided into two character types: babyface and heel. The heel characters are often seen as the villain characters that usually generate heat from the audience but even get pop for their presentation.

With a stacked WWE roster today that generates that kind of reaction from fans, here are the top seven WWE heel characters in the locker room:

7. Nia Jax

Nia Jax is one of the most hated heel characters in WWE today. The fans have often heckled The Irresistible Force for being an unsafe worker in the ring, dangerous in-ring spots, and being a brute force of strength, generating massive heat from the WWE Universe every time she steps inside the squared circle.

6. Solo Sikoa

Solo Sikoa became an instant heel ever since he debuted on the WWE main roster in 2022. He was often garnering negative reactions from fans for costing top WWE stars like Drew McIntyre and Cody Rhodes major opportunities. Furthermore, after assuming Roman Reigns’ Tribal Chief moniker, Sikoa became even more hated and heckled with “We Want Roman” chants each week on SmackDown, solidifying himself as a top heel.

5. Logan Paul

Being a narcissist right from the days of his social media success, Logan Paul presented his same brash personality in front of the WWE Universe. The Maverick is known for berating the fans and his rivals, up to the point of getting personal with them. Moreover, his status as a part-time champion has garnered further heat, making him a pure WWE heel on the roster today.

4. Gunther

Gunther has proved himself to be a dominant force of nature in the ring with his record-breaking title reigns and in-ring performances. Basking in the glory of his success, The Ring General has always seen others beneath him, berating the fans and his opponents to establish himself as one of the most hated WWE superstars on the roster today.

3. Rhea Ripley

Rhea Ripley’s rise to prominence during her tenure as a member of The Judgment Day. Her black antics, constant torment of his now beloved Dominik Mysterio in the past and dominating persona made Rhea Ripley a popular heel in WWE that remained intact throughout her entire tenure as the WWE Women’s World Champion.

2. Dominik Mysterio

Ever since Dominik Mysterio joined the ranks of Judgment Day in 2022 and betrayed his father, Rey Mysterio, things have been completely different for him. The Dirty One’s constant disregard for his legendary father and menacing antics with The Judgment Day on others, including his family, made him one of the most hated heels of all time. Moreover, every time Dominik comes out to ringside to speak, fans shower huge boos on him, preventing him from even delivering a promo.

1. Drew McIntyre

Drew McIntyre experienced a huge wave of success ever since he injured CM Punk at the start of 2024 and used his social media as a powerhouse tool to constantly torment The Best in the World. McIntyre’s social media antics and rivalry with Punk made him one of the top heels in the WWE roster today.
