‘The Beast Incarnate’ allegedly told a fan that he has retired from WWE
‘The Beast Incarnate’ Brock Lesnar has been away from the squared ring since SummerSlam 2023. Lesnar was scheduled to make his return at the 2024 Royal Rumble PLE as a participant in the men’s Royal Rumble match.
However, he was removed from the event due to the lawsuit filed by a former WWE employee, Janel Grant. Lesnar was replaced by Bron Breakker in the 2024 Royal Rumble and was subsequently removed from WWE’s creative plans for WrestleMania XL.
Ringside News recently reported that Lesnar was spotted at a steakhouse in Austin, Texas, earlier this week. When their correspondent asked about a potential WWE return, the former WWE Champion gave a brief response, saying, “We’ll see.”
A fan on Instagram recently claimed to have spoken with Lesnar, who allegedly told them he has retired from in-ring competition and won’t be returning to WWE. This came after Lesnar was spotted at the steakhouse in Austin.
WWE has put Brock Lesnar’s contract on hold amid legal disputes
While the news was not confirmed in any official capacity by either the Stamford-based promotion or Lesnar himself, the news spread quickly, and fans quickly started speculating if the Beast Incarnate had truly hung up his wrestling boots.
According to Ringside News, the Stamford-based promotion has put Lesnar’s contract on hold, his status is currently a legal matter, and he won’t return to WWE programming until it’s resolved. There’s been no confirmation of a release, and considering his drawing power, massive popularity, and the potential risk of him joining AEW, it’s unlikely WWE will grant his release.
The Stamford-based promotion has distanced itself from the star following his involvement in the Vince McMahon case. All references to him were removed from their programming, and as mentioned his scheduled appearances at the Royal Rumble PLE and WrestleMania last year were pulled.
