Bron Breakker is currently set to defend his IC championship at WrestleMania 41
The current breed of WWE talent vying for long-term prominence has some role models. And for Bron Breakker, one of the company’s most promising prospects, the mountain to climb is Roman Reigns. The defending Intercontinental Champion recently informed Shakiel Mahjouri on SHAK Wrestling that he believes the OTC is the best of all time.
The 27-year-old recounted the moment in this year’s Royal Rumble fight when he blasted The Tribal Chief with a brutal spear. Breakker was thankful for the opportunity to work with Reigns, even though it was temporary. Later, the Unpredictable Badass chose Roman as his WWE dream opponent. Bron claimed he grew up watching the six-time world champion.
In many wrestling circles, people enjoy drawing connections between Reigns and Breakker. Paul Heyman is the common link between the two. In October 2023, Reigns’ Wiseman visited NXT and even had a backstage interview with Bron.
The WWE Hall of Famer told him that he had worked with his father and uncle, the famed Steiner brothers. Paul stated from experience that Breakker had far more to contribute than his elders combined. Later that night, the former WCW CEO presented the reigning Intercontinental Champion on Reigns’ behalf.
Bron said, “He’s the greatest of all time in my opinion…..it was special for me”
Since then, the WWE Universe has been somewhat persuaded that Bron would be revealed as the next Paul Heyman person. According to WWE CCO Triple H, the 59-year-old is supporting the former Wolfdogs member with his gimmick and promotional efforts.
With just two weeks until WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas, the company has announced a new championship fight for The Grandest Stage of Them All. While LA Knight is set to defend his United States Championship against Jacob Fatu, Bron Breakker’s Intercontinental Championship match remains uncertain.
However, all of these worries were resolved when Raw general manager Adam Pearce announced Breakker’s Mania championship fight. Adam Pearce said before of the Raw program on April 7th that Bron Breakker will now defend his IC championship against Finn Balor, Penta, and Dominik Mysterio.
