Kevin Owens turned on Cody Rhodes & Randy Orton within a week!

Kevin Owens has had a friendly alliance with Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton for a long time since both came back to WWE. Owens had the back of both the stars, especially when it came to fighting the Bloodline.

Kevin Owens became one of the trustable friends of Orton and Rhodes, however, he turned his back on both of them within a week. Owens turning on Cody was revealed by the fan’s footage and turning on Orton was caught during the mid-brawl this Friday. Now WWE has officially released the CCTV footage of Owens assaulting Orton backstage on SmackDown.

What happened on 10/11 WWE SmackDown?

After the 2024 Bad Blood PLE went off air, WWE fans captured a video of Kevin Owens meeting Cody Rhodes in the parking lot, where both were involved in a heated argument. The exchange of words turned physical, as Owens started attacking Rhodes right on the face. WWE officially addressed it and reported that there would be consequences for Owens’ actions.

Following the off-screen heel turn, Owens appeared on the October 11, 2024, episode of Friday Night SmackDown despite being asked not to be on the show. Owens said that everyone was yelling at him for turning on Cody, but claimed that Cody turned on him. Before Owens finished his statement, his microphone was muted and Cody popped out. Before both turned it physical again, securities separated them. Randy Orton came out to convince Owens, but he got accidentally hit by his elbow. Orton struck back with the elbow and Owens moved away. 

The Viper then appeared backstage asking Cody to leave the arena and concentrate on Gunther, as he will fix things with Owens. However, Orton was found being attacked by Owens in the backstage area later on the same show, for taking the wrong side. It is unknown how they got into a fight, as the footage on SmackDown were only caught during the mid-brawl. At this stage, WWE has officially released the CCTV footage of Kevin Owens attacking Randy Orton on the 10/11 episode of SmackDown.

In the CCTV footage released, Kevin Owens and Randy Orton were talking backstage, with Owens arguing and Orton trying to calm him down. Both tried to walk into the building, but Owens jumped on Orton and attacked him with a series of strikes until Nick Aldis and the bunch of securities separated Owens.
