Chad Gable looks like he will play a part in bringing Malakai Black to WWE
On Monday night RAW, in a cryptic comment made by Chad Gable when Dom gave him a message to assist “solve” his luchador problem, the American Made leader hinted about the return of an old WWE Superstar — Aleister Black (Malakai Black of AEW).
Fans are talking about Chad Gable’s claim that he was ready to “master the dark arts of lucha libre.” Some speculate that the reference was to Aleister Black. Black and Zelina Vega own the Dark Arts Gym Pro Wrestling School, thus the reference seemed curiously specific. Given that Black is said to have concluded his tenure with AEW, the possibility of his returning to WWE has increased.
Honestly, this could be anyone. Dominik’s ancestry as Rey Mysterio’s son connects him to innumerable lucha libre luminaries. The word “dark arts” might refer to anything more enigmatic and unorthodox. It does not need to be an Aleister Black reference. However, if this is Black, that is a significant clue from WWE.
Black had a successful tenure in WWE, but his distinct in-ring technique and persona never caught on with Vince McMahon. Triple H was a tremendous fan, but he wasn’t making the decisions at the time. Black eventually left and joined AEW, where he has not fared well.
According to recent reports, Black has spoken out about his dissatisfaction with AEW and his desire to rejoin WWE. Triple H would probably be willing to make that happen.
His in-ring approach combines kickboxing, pencak silat, and conventional wrestling. He is not a classic luchador, but he is one-of-a-kind, and no other WWE stars compare to him.
It remains to be seen whether this conjecture is based on fan input. Still, the notion of Dominik referring Gable to the “dark arts” and Aleister Black is a very fascinating one. With the Royal Rumble just around the horizon and the path to WrestleMania beginning to emerge, fans will be watching intently to see if this cryptic comment leads anywhere.
