Chris Jericho is still part of AEW!
Chris Jericho has once again addressed the possibility of a WWE return, but for now, the veteran is staying loyal to AEW. Speaking to Daily Mail during Halloween Horror Nights, the multi-time world champion made it clear that having two strong wrestling promotions is the healthiest thing for the industry.
“The best thing that can happen to wrestling is AEW and the fact that there are two huge promotions that you can choose from just makes it better for the guys, makes it better for the fans, and everybody in between,” Jericho said.
Chris Jericho is not opposed to being part of WWE
While speculation around his future has grown louder in recent months, Jericho insists he isn’t going anywhere. He revealed that AEW remains his focus, and he has no immediate plans to leave the company.
“I’m not going anywhere for a long while. I’m still with AEW for right now,” Jericho stated. “Would I go back to WWE? I wouldn’t be opposed to it. We just have to see what happens.”
Chris Jericho went on to say that the real winners are the fans, with both WWE and AEW pushing each other to create more compelling television. For him, the current wrestling climate is a golden era of choice, and he’s happy to be part of it.
WWE return rumors continue
Despite Jericho’s loyalty to AEW, talk of a WWE comeback hasn’t gone away. His AEW contract is set to expire in December, fueling speculation that he could walk back into Vince McMahon’s former empire for one last run.
Adding fuel to the fire, Jericho recently liked a social media post suggesting a WWE return. While that sparked buzz among fans, reports indicate WWE Creative hasn’t had any serious discussions about bringing him back, at least not yet.
Even so, many within WWE believe it’s only a matter of time before Jericho makes one final appearance. After decades of reinvention and an unmatched legacy across both WWE and AEW, fans are eager to know where “Le Champion” will close out his career.
Is Chris Jericho leaving AEW soon?
No, Jericho has confirmed he plans to stay in AEW for now, though his contract expires in December.
Could Jericho return to WWE in 2025?
It’s possible, but Jericho stressed it’s not currently in the works. WWE has not confirmed any talks.
Why is Jericho happy with two wrestling promotions?
He believes AEW and WWE competing makes the business better for wrestlers, fans, and the industry as a whole.
