Jey Uso introduces his brand-new WWE Intercontinental Championship
Following his title triumph over Bron Breakker last week on September 23rd, Jey Uso rejoiced with the fans and unveiled an upgraded version of the championship.
The revised title features fresh blue accents that match Uso’s theme colours from the show and complement his persona. Jey Uso arrived on RAW and thanked the fans for their support as well as the path he had to go to get to his moment.
Also, it looked like a mix of the 90s & latest IC Championship. For the first time, we saw Jey Uso’s son on WWE TV as he came together with him during his entrance on WWE RAW.
However, when addressing fans, he detected an interruption from Bron Breakker, who emerged and congratulated Uso on his victory. Both veterans shook hands and showed mutual respect.
Although Uso is currently slated to defend his championship against Xavier Woods next week, he has already completed his first title defense against Bron Breakker earlier last week.
Kofi Kingston said that Jey Uso promised him a shot at the WWE Intercontinental Title next Monday on WWE Raw.
Instead of taking the offer, Kingston handed the opportunity to Xavier Woods, who had just defeated Rey Mysterio.
In the opening segment of the September 30th edition of WWE Raw, new WWE Intercontinental Champion Jey Uso stated that if necessary, he will be a fighting champion and fight every week.
As previously announced on the September 30 program, Jey Uso will defend the WWE Intercontinental Championship against Xavier Woods.
Plus, Sheamus will fight Pete Dunne in a Good Ol Fashioned Donnybrook match. The former Brawling Brutes stablemates have been feuding for several weeks and have shared victories. Sami Zayn also receives his World Championship opportunity.
The following is the current lineup for the October 7th edition of WWE Raw:
- Jey Uso vs Xavier Woods (WWE Intercontinental Championship)
- Gunther vs Sami Zayn (WWE World Heavyweight Championship)
- Sheamus vs Pete Dunne (Good Ol Fashion Donny Brook match)
