CM Punk vs Drew McIntyre to headline WWE Bad Blood PLE in Hell in a Cell match: Rumors

CM Punk & Drew McIntyre teased of continuing their rivalry after SummerSlam

CM Punk made his long-awaited in-ring return against Drew McIntyre at the 2024 SummerSlam PLE. The second city saint was so close to having his first win after his WWE return, however, his anger towards Rollins & Drew’s low blow took the match away from him.

As a result, Drew pinned him to secure the win. After the match, Drew again took the bracelet from Punk, potentially hinting that they could continue their feud for the upcoming events.

Both appeared on the August 05, 2024, episode of Monday Night Raw and cooked their feud again. Following this week’s Raw, a backstage report potentially revealed the potential venue and match stipulations for their rematch.

According to WRKD Wrestling, WWE is currently planning to have the second match between Drew McIntyre & CM Punk inside the Hell in a Cell in October at the 2024 Bad Blood PLE.

CM Punk on the August 05, 2024 episode of Monday Night Raw called for a rematch with Drew McIntyre, after suffering a loss at SummerSlam. Seth Rollins stepped in to reinstate his rivalry with Punk, however, Drew walked in and turned Punk’s attention to him. Drew triggered the second city saint with his bracelet, which has Punk’s dog and wife’s name on it. Punk went on chasing Drew, leaving Rollins behind, however, Drew escaped from the building.

WWE Bad Blood 2024 is the upcoming PLE, which is revived after 20 years. The PLE is all set to take place on October 05, 2024, from State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia. As Bad Blood is more than two months away, there is no update on whether they could be performing at the upcoming Bash in Berlin PLE. Backstage reports suggest that Punk is advertised for Berlin, however no update on what he will be doing at the show.

The last time Punk performed in a Hell in a Cell match was back in 2011 at the Hell in a Cell match against Alberto Del Rio & John Cena for the WWE Championship, where Punk lost. On the other hand, Drew performed inside the Hell in a Cell match in 2021 against Bobby Lashley in the battle to recapture the WWE Championship but failed.
