Solo Sikoa seems to be ready for Cody Rhodes

Cody Rhodes will face The Bloodline again at SummerSlam, however, this is not the same Bloodline he faced to become the Undisputed WWE Champion. This time, he’s up against the new self-appointed Tribal Chief Solo Sikoa, who has assembled a new team to reclaim the titles The Bloodline once held.

On tonight’s SmackDown, Rhodes and Sikoa had their final face-to-face meeting before WWE SummerSlam, and Rhodes made it plain that while he will go through the Bloodline again, he has no regard for Sikoa or his Title.

That prompted Sikoa to challenge Rhodes to a Bloodline Rules bout, similar to the one staged at WrestleMania, and after taking shots at every other member, Rhodes accepted Sikoa’s offer.

Cody Rhodes took it upon himself to correct the wrongs

Cody Rhodes said, “I see it. A chip on your shoulder. You are a younger brother, right? I’m also a little brother. It’s not simple to become a Tribal Chief and achieve your goals. From a distance, I nearly admire it. Once all of the film that the Bloodline is renowned for is done, there’s an old wrestling adage that says, “The bell will ring, and when it does, you’ll find out.” That you have nothing to lose and I have everything at stake…”

Sikoa interrupted, saying, “Are you done? Are you? Because you are wasting my time, and I am running out of patience right now. Just like your title reign,

“I’m not done, you’re a self-appointed Tribal Chief. I stand here the actual WWE Champion. I stand here atop WWE. I sit on a throne, a throne I once broke, and I sit there in deep emotional debt to those who helped me accomplish my goals. Men like Randy Orton Men like Kevin Owens. If I lose at SummerSlam, if I lose to you, I can’t repay that debt. I intend to pay those men back with blood. What I did to your cousin Roman Reigns at WrestleMania, in a bloodline rules match,” Rhodes said.

Sikoa reacted, claiming that when Cody Rhodes defeated Reigns, he was a weak “Tribal Chief.” Sikoa said that, in contrast, he was dangerous, and that he would show it at WWE Summer Slam. He then brought up the Bloodline Rules stipulation, suggesting that it be added to their title bout.

Cody Rhodes replied by speaking to Solo Sikoa’s Bloodline stablemates. He stated that he was not terrified of Tanga Loa. He then referred to his past with Tama Tonga and stated that he was not afraid of him. Rhodes also stated that he was not terrified of Jacob Fatu before accepting the challenge. Finally, he told Sikoa that he was not the “Tribal Chief” in an attempt to get under his skin.
