The Night of Champions card has undergone major changes following the 06/23 edition of RAW!

The 2025 edition of the show will be the 11th Night of Champions and is set for Saturday, June 28, 2025, at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The show will feature stars from both the Raw and SmackDown rosters, and will host the finals of both the 24th King of the Ring tournament and the third Queen of the Ring tournament. The match card for the PLE saw multiple changes during the June 23 episode of WWE RAW. Here’s a breakdown of the changes.

Cody Rhodes & Jade Cargill advance

The June 23 episode of Monday Night Raw featured the two final semi-final matches in the King and Queen of the Ring tournament. Jade Cargill defeated Roxanne Perez to secure her spot in the finals. She will now battle Asuka this Saturday.

On the other hand, Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso locked horns in the main event of the show. The semi-final match saw multiple great spots and finishing move reversals, but in the end it Cody picked up the win. He is now set to battle Randy Orton in the finals of the King of the Ring tournament.

Dominik Mysterio pulls out due to injury

During a backstage segment on the show, General Manager Adam Pearce was in his office when AJ Styles walked in. Pearce informed him that Dominik Mysterio had suffered an injury, and as a result, the Intercontinental title match was off.

Styles responded by saying that Mysterio was just ducking him and that he would handle it. Pearce, however, stopped him, saying he had seen the paperwork and that it was legitimate. He then reassured Styles that he was still next in line for a title opportunity.

The match was pulled out of the PLE, and Dominik tried to explain his side in a segment on the show later, but was heavily booed as he ran out of time, and Jackie Redmond cut short the interview. Dirty Dom only managed to say that he misses Liv Morgan and that his ribs hurt.

Rhea Ripley will battle Raquel Rodriguez in a street fight

Motivated by Finn Balor, Raquel Rodriguez made the walk to take care of Rhea Ripley and not let her walk all over her. Raquel called out Ripley, who darted into the ring, kicking off a brawl, which saw the women viciously attack one another.

While Rodriguez sent Ripley into the timekeeper’s area and brought out a table, Ripley quickly fired back and was about to slam Rodriguez through it. However, Roxanne Perez appeared and came to Rodriguez’s aid, allowing her to recover and land the Tahana Bomb on Ripley through the table.

In a later segment with General Manager Adam Pearce, Ripley asked for a match with Rodriguez at the upcoming Night of Champions. Pearce then floated the idea of a street fight, something which Ripley liked. The match was made official by the GM moments later.

Additionally, the promotion announced a singles match between Sami Zayn and Karrion Kross, following their backstage segment where Zayn punched Kross, who had been deliberately provoking him to make the first move.
