Cody Rhodes knows what to expect from The Rock at WrestleMania
In a recent appearance on Unlikely with Adrian Hernandez, Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes highlighted The Rock’s importance to WWE and commented on his rumored return at WrestleMania 41.
The 41st edition of WrestleMania is scheduled to take place as a two-night event on April 19 and 20, 2025. The massive event will take place at Allegiant Stadium in Paradise, Nevada, USA. This is the second WrestleMania to take place in the Las Vegas area.
The grandest stage of them all will feature some of the biggest names in the promotion from both its Raw and SmackDown brand. The WrestleMania PLE is the biggest wrestling event of the year.
There have been rumors regarding The Rock’s appearance on the grandest stage which suggest that he will not be a part of the show.

Cody Rhodes acknowledges The Rock as ‘The Final Boss’ of WWE
At this year’s WrestleMania, The Final Boss told Rhodes that he would be back for him during a segment. Johnson also made an appearance during the Bad Blood 2024 PLE and stared down Roman Reigns and Rhodes.
The Final Boss made a throat-cut gesture and pointed towards the two stars who were standing inside the squared ring. This fueled speculation of a clash between Rhodes and Johnson in the future, but nothing yet has been materialized.
During his appearance on the Unlikely show with Adrian Hernandez, The American Nightmare was asked about a rumor that is being circulated that claims that Johnson wouldn’t be at WrestleMania 41.
The WWE Champion replied to the question and stated that he knows where The Rock’s attention will be directed when he makes his return. Rhodes also emphasized Johnson’s importance to the Stamford-based promotion.
“I mean, I don’t mean this in a smart-aleck-type way. But Rock is the director of the board, The man that is the Final Boss, Dwayne Johnson, is different from the Final Boss, and his outside-the-box thinking with Nick Khan and Triple H is part of WWE’s record era, part of this WWE Netflix era. So whether he’s in the ring or he’s not, he very much is still very involved with what happens at 41.
I know when he comes back, I know who he’ll come looking for. I know what to expect. But what I can say about WrestleMania 41 is keep the rumors going, keep them churning, enjoy the discourse. But I think what you will get will surprise you all.” Rhodes said.
The American Nightmare also prompted fans to keep the discourse going and emphasized that the fans are in for a surprise at the grandest stage.
However, there is still no official word or announcement on the return of the Final Boss to the WWE programming.
During the conversation, Rhodes was also asked about the potential return of ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin at the grandest stage.
“I would just like him to be around to see how we’re doing. I hope he’s proud of all of us because he really set the table for all of us, him and The Rock in a way where we can eat so fruitfully, so I’d love Steve to do anything.”
The American Nightmare had high praises for the Hall of Famer and expressed his gratitude. Rhodes also hoped that Stone Cold would be proud of the new generation.
The WWE Hall of Famer earlier spoke with Adrian Hernandez about the potential of making an appearance at WrestleMania 41, which will take place in his home state of Nevada in April 2025.
