Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson is one of the biggest names in the entertainment industry

One of the biggest names in the WWE Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson made his jaw-dropping return at the end of the Bad Blood PLE 2024. However, the exact reason for The Final Boss’ surprising return is still unknown. There are talks of him competing at the next month’s Survivor Series PLE.

The Rock has had an amazing career in the WWE since his debut in 1996. He has faced many WWE legends as well as current WWE stars in his illustrious career. Today we look at seven current WWE stars that ‘The Final Boss’ has fought in the ring.

The Rock and Roman Reigns vs Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins

This is the most recent in-ring action for The Final Boss was in the main event of WrestleMania XL. His last fight in the ring was in WrestleMania 32 in 2016. The Rock teamed up with former WWE Champion Roman Reigns to battle the duo of the current WWE Undisputed champion Cody Rhodes and Seth ‘Freakin’ Rollins.

The Rock looked amazing in his in-ring performance and defeated the team of Rhodes and Rollins by using his finishing move, The People’s Elbow, which earned him the victory.

However, it seems as if The Final Boss has some unfinished business with the WWE Undisputed Champion. Following Rhodes’ victory at Bad Blood 2024 PLE Johnson appeared in the arena and stared down Rhodes.

The Rock & John Cena vs Awesome Truth

Cena and Johnson are two of the biggest rivals in the WWE and never have been on friendly terms with each other. Despite this, the former 16-time WWE Champion Cena picked Johnson as his partner to face the tag team of The Miz and R-Truth, The Awesome Truth.

Throughout the match, the 16-time WWE champion was targeted by the team of Awesome Truth and was almost pinned a couple of times. However, in the closing minutes, The Rock performed a spine buster and followed it up by the People’s Elbow to pin The Miz and bag the victory.

Rock ‘n’ Sock Connection vs Evolution

The Rock ‘n’ Sock Connection was a tag team consisting of The Rock and Mick Foley. The tag team took on the Evolution which consisted of Ric Flair, Batista, and Randy Orton in 2004.

The Rock ‘n’ Sock Connection fought the Evolution in a 3-on-2 handicap match at WrestleMania XX. However, the team of Johnson and Foley lost the match when Orton landed an ‘RKO’ on Foley to bag the victory via pinfall.

The Rock vs Erick Rowan

Erick Rowan famously known as The White Sheep of the Wyatt Family took on the Final Boss in an impromptu match at WrestleMania 32.

After being interrupted by the Wyatt Family, Johnson insisted on an impromptu match with Erick. Erick was defeated with ease by The Final Boss, setting a new record for the shortest match in WWE history at WrestleMania.

The Rock vs CM Punk

In the main event of Elimination Chamber 2013, the then WWE Champion CM Punk faced The Final Boss. Punk’s WWE title was on the line in the match. Near the end of the fight, The Final Boss countered a second GTS attempt with a People’s Elbow on the WWE Champion, which led to a near-fall.

Punk accidentally rolled onto the referee’s ankle injuring him in the process. Shortly Johnson dodged Punk’s attempt to hit him with the title belt but ended up striking Paul Heyman instead. This interference helped the challenger to hit a second Rock Bottom on Punk, securing the victory.

The Rock vs John Cena

At the 29th annual WrestleMania event in New Jersey, The Rock faced one of his fierce rivals John Cena. The two titans collided in the main event of WrestleMania 29 in 2013.
