Dominik Mysterio has a long-standing feud with CM Punk
‘Dirty Dom’ Dominik Mysterio made his WWE in-ring debut on August 23, 2020 at SummerSlam 2020. He is a third generation of wrestlers and is the son of WWE legend Rey Mysterio.
During an interview with Adam Barnard of Sports Illustrated, Dirty Dom didn’t hold back his words and expressed his opinions regarding old WWE stars.
Dominik fired shots at ‘Old Heads’ such as CM Punk and Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson stating, “Honestly, I’m just tired of these old heads, thinking they can hang and come in here with this younger generation, I don’t even want to speak for everyone else. I’m speaking for just myself.”
Mysterio further stated that he has grown tired of old people in the WWE like Punk and Johnson trying to hang with the younger generation in pro wrestling.
Dominik Mysterio calls himself the greatest Mysterio of all time
The feud between Dominik and Punk dates way back to 2010, when Punk and Dom’s father Rey Mysterio were engaged in a feud that involved Dom and his sister.
Dirty Dom also declared in the conversation that he is the greatest Mysterio of all time, “At the end of the day, I’m my own person. I’m the greatest Mysterio of all time.
If these old heads want to come in and get it, they all can. CM Punk, The Rock, it doesn’t matter. They’re just mad because they don’t have hair, and I have the best hair and the best mustache.” He further added.
Dirty Dom’s recent comments can fuel future feuds with the former WWE Champion Punk and The Rock. He is currently shifting his focus to Intercontinental Champion Jey Uso and wants to capture the title.
This wasn’t the first time Dirty Dom fired shots at the two legends as he has previously said, the only thing Rock “ever did that was good was The Mummy Returns”.
Although, Johnson has not yet responded to Dirty Dom’s comments, Punk on the other hand has responded to his earlier comments stating that he (Dom) “claps when planes land”.
However, potential showdowns with the two WWE legends down the road could be a great boost for the Younger Mysterio’s career. What are your thoughts on Dominik’s comments? Let us know your opinions in the comments section down below.
