Drew McIntyre’s feud with CM Punk was the best of 2024
It seems that ‘The Scottish Warrior’ Drew McIntyre had the last laugh in his feud against ‘The Second City Saint’ CM Punk. The two stars were engaged in a nearly year-long, brutal rivalry that was ultimately won by the Second City Saint.
The final match in the feud took place at WWE Bad Blood 2024 PLE, where the two stars locked horns in a hell-in-a-cell match. The two stars delivered one of the best matches of all time, with Punk ultimately bagging the victory and ending the feud 2-1.
Punk and McIntyre both took a lot of damage during the Bad Blood clash, both stars took some time off from in-ring action. The Second City Saint made his return last month to join forces with the OG Bloodline in the men’s WarGames clash at Survivor Series 2024 PLE.
On the other hand, McIntyre made his return after Survivor Series, earlier this month and targeted Jey Uso and Sami Zayn. McIntyre has vowed to eliminate every member of the OG Bloodline.

The feud between Punk and McIntyre was voted ‘Rivalry of the Year’ at SI’s 2024 Pro Wrestling Awards. However, McIntyre bagged victory in another category making his total tally two. The top contenders for the rivalry of the year were Cody Rhodes & The Bloodline, Swerve Strickland & Hangman Adam Page.
The Scottish Warrior also claimed the ‘Best on the Mic’ award, edging out top contenders Kevin Owens, CM Punk, and The Rock. McIntyre celebrated his victory via social media when he posted a clip making fun of The Second City Saint.
McIntyre shared an old clip from Monday Night Raw, where Punk is seen berating the Scottish Warrior, claiming he was known for talking, not McIntyre. In the final moments of the video, Drew appears, laughing uncontrollably at the remark before flipping the Second City Saint.
In addition to these two categories, wrestling stars were recognized in nine other categories, bringing the total to eleven. Cody Rhodes and Toni Storm bagged the win in the men’s and women’s wrestler of the year category respectively.
Jacob Fatu won the ‘Breakout Star’ of the Year while WrestleMania XL was voted show of the year. Additionally, The Bloodline saga was voted story of the year, and the baffling heel turn of Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods was voted heel turn of the year.
The Scottish Warrior is currently scheduled to face Sami Zayn in a singles match in the 12/23 episode of Monday Night Raw. McIntyre will look to target the remaining members of the OG Bloodline and probably will challenge Roman Reigns.
