Drew McIntyre & Paul Heyman caught strategizing backstage on WWE RAW ahead of WrestleMania 40

Drew McIntyre is one of the biggest heels on the Raw roster, who has been in pursuit to become the World Champion in front of the live audience. A couple of years ago, Drew was on pursuit for the Universal Championship against Roman Reigns, but The Bloodline cost him the opportunity. However he is aware that Roman Reigns is hard to be dethroned with the involvement of his cousins.

Drew then shifted his focus to Seth Rollins’ World Heavyweight Championship and got so close a number of times. Drew, despite a number of failures, became the rightful contender to face Seth Rollins for the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 40. However, it seems like Drew is now looking for an ally with his former rivals to help him defeat Rollins for the title.

Drew McIntyre aligning with The Bloodline?

On the latest episode of Monday Night Raw, Drew McIntyre had a confrontation against CM Punk and Seth Rollins, where Drew got superkicked and curb stomped by Seth Rollins to end the segment. Following that, during the backstage segment of The New Day, DIY and Awesome Truth, Drew McIntyre was caught behind them discussing something with Paul Heyman.

It is unknown what they discussed backstage, however Drew during the main event match, came for the aid of The Bloodline and took Seth Rollins down with the Future Shock DDT. It seems like Drew is somewhat looking for an alliance with The Bloodline.

It is not the first time Drew and Bloodline have done favors for each other. Weeks ago on Raw, Solo Sikoa and Jimmy Uso helped Drew McIntyre to pick up a win against Cody Rhodes. Three weeks ago, Jimmy helped Drew to secure the win against Jey and used The Bloodline’s distraction to Claymore Seth Rollins, on the same day he announced that he is medically cleared.

All these instances hint to us that Drew is aligning with The Bloodline in some way or other in the logic of the enemy of the enemy is a friend. Previously in a similar situation, Drew went to have an alliance with The Judgment Day prior to Survivor Series 2023 to defeat Seth Rollins. Will The Bloodline help Drew to defeat Seth Rollins to capture the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 40? We need to wait and watch.
