WWE Backlash will go live from the Enterprise Center in St. Louis

WrestleMania 41 shook up the WWE Universe big time, and now all eyes are on what’s next, yep, we’re talkin’ about Backlash! Set to go down live from the Enterprise Center in St. Louis, Missouri, on May 10, this Premium Live Event is already shaping up to be one for the books.

The RAW after WrestleMania lit the fuse with some major teases, and now fans are buzzing louder than a superkick to the jaw. We’re talkin’ possible new alliances, title changes, emotional betrayals and maybe even Roman Reigns bringing in a brand-new partner!

Oh, and let’s not forget, John Cena just snatched the gold from Cody Rhodes, but will he keep it? That’s the million-dollar question.

With so many storylines heating up, Backlash 2025 might just deliver more twists than a Randy Orton RKO montage. In this listicle, we’re diving into five bold and juicy early predictions that could steal the show in St. Louis!

5. Nia Jax faces Tiffany Stratton for WWE Women’s Championship

Despite a strong year, Nia Jax was left off the WrestleMania 41 card, so expect her to return to the top of the SmackDown women’s division, especially as Tiffany Stratton remains the WWE Women’s Champion.

Stratton betrayed Jax by cashing in her Money In The Bank contract to earn the gold in the first place, and the two have yet to engage in a full-fledged singles feud.

Their journey is expected to end on a PLE, and Backlash appears to be the most probable destination on Stratton’s first post-WrestleMania championship defense.

4. Solo Sikoa turns on Jacob Fatu

At WrestleMania 41, Jacob Fatu defeated LA Knight to win the new United States Champion, however Solo Sikoa was not present to celebrate his victory. The pair’s hostility has grown in recent weeks, making a turn likely. This might happen before Backlash, setting up a showdown between the two at the PLE.

Solo Sikoa, after spending a year at the top of the show, did not win a match at WrestleMania 41, therefore we anticipate to see him on Backlash at the absolute least, against a family member.

3. Goldberg returns to challenge Gunther

On Monday Night RAW, former World Heavyweight Champion Gunther went after Michael Cole and Pat McAfee. After attempting to assist Cole, The Ring General’s primary target, the Austrian superstar used a Sleeper Hold to eliminate McAfee.

Adam Pearce and other security staff raced in to save the pundit. McAfee subsequently departed the building after being unable to do his tasks.

McAfee might confront Gunther in Backlash 2025. However, things might become interesting if Goldberg returns and confronts The Ring General. Da Man hinted about this in a recent tweet. Last year at Bad Blood, the WCW legend got into an argument with the Imperium leader.

2. CM Punk & Roman Reigns form an alliance

On this week’s RAW, Bron Breakker emerged as the new Paul Heyman Guy. Roman Reigns stormed in to attack Seth Rollins, who had already pummeled CM Punk. The OTC knocked down Rollins with a Spear and delivered a Superman Punch to Heyman.

However, before Reigns could inflict additional violence on Paul Heyman, a hooded figure attacked the OTC with a spear. The perpetrator of the beating was eventually identified as Bron Breakker.

Rollins and Breakker then savagely assaulted Punk and Reigns, laying the groundwork for a possible tag bout at Backlash. The Best in the World and The Tribal Chief may return for the first time since Survivor Series: WarGames 2024 to face Seth and Bron in a tag team match.

1. Finn Balor betrays Dominik Mysterio

Dominik Mysterio defeated Finn Balor to become the new Intercontinental Champion at WrestleMania 41. Balor may not be pleased with “Dirty” Dom pinning him at WrestleMania. While The Prince has pretended that he is unaffected by the setback, he is plainly unhappy with Dominik’s behavior.

Dominik might defend his Intercontinental Championship against Penta in Backlash. In St. Louis, Balor might surprise betray Dominik by losing him the championship.
