Everything that happened on WWE NXT (October 01, 2024): CM Punk appearance, new titles, logo & more

The 10/1 episode of WWE NXT kicked-off the new era of NXT!
WWE successfully hosted the October 01, 2024 episode of WWE NXT from the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois, United States. It was NXT’s grand launch on The CW Network and the show was filled with pay-per-view-worthy matches. New theme, logo, title and champion were crowned on the show. Get to know what happened on this week’s WWE NXT, as we come out with the complete summary of the show.
Shawn Michaels launches New Logo & New Titles
The show began with a brand-new theme song and new logo (black and silver). Shawn Michaels kicked off the show and welcomed the crowd to the new NXT. HBK announced that the new NXT needs new championships and revealed the NXT Championship and NXT Women’s Championship. Triple H joined him in the ring and the crowd went crazy.
NXT Women’s Championship Match- Roxanne Perez (C) vs Giulia
In the opening contest, Roxanne Perez defended her NXT Women’s Championship on the line against Giulia in a singles match. The match went swinging on both sides with neither getting the initial advantage. Giulia took charge with repeated headbutts and hammerlock suplex, and both exchanged elbows and submission maneuvers. The challenger struck with the knee and Perez gave Pop Rocks in return and for a near fall. Roxanne was shocked and argued with the referee, where an unknown person with the black hoodie performed a DDT on Giulia outside the ring and helped Roxanne perform another Pop Rox to pick up the win. After the match the black hooded person was revealed to be Cora Jade.
Street Fight: Wes Lee vs Zachary Wentz
Wes Lee arrived with a shopping cart full of weapons and tried to jump on Zachary Wentz during the entrance. Wentz avoided Lee and both showcased one of the extreme matches. They used the shopping cart, panel board, kendo sticks, steel chair, trash can and a steel chain. Wentz got sandwiched between the panel board and the barricade. Wentz performed coast to coast with the trash can. Lee pushed Wentz outside the ring from the top rope. In the final moments, Lee performed a low blow and wrapped a chain around his knee to deliver a meteora to pin Wentz for the win.
The Miz TV: Oba Femi & Tony D’Angelo
The Miz got booed out of the building for turning on R-Truth on Raw, but Miz got used to it. The A-lister introduced the special guests for the show, Oba Femi and Tony D’Angelo to the ring and interviewed about their NXT North American Championship match next week. Tony said that he will dethrone Femi, but Femi replied saying that Tony can’t dethrone him for the title no matter what. The segment ended with both having a face-off.
Jaida Parker & Lola Vice vs Jacy Jayne & Fallon Henley
The NXT North American Champion Kelani Jordan was on ringside to watch the match. Parker and Vice were in control of the initial stage of the match and both had each other’s back, when their opponents tried to play dirty. There was a misunderstanding between Vice & Parker. During the final moments, Vice accidentally pushed Parker, which made Parker leave the ring, this made Jayne and Henley perform their finisher to pick up the win.
After the match, Fatal Influence called out Kelani Jordan, but Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill appeared on the ring and saved Jordan from Fatal Influence.
NXT Championship Match- Ethan Page vs Trick Williams (Special Guest Referee: CM Punk)
Both tried to pin each other to start the match. CM Punk tried to be neutral, but tried to spice up things. The second city saint didn’t count the fall and both Page and Williams fought outside the ring. Page sends Williams through the barricade and sends him to the steel steps. The champion dominated the mid-match breaking the announcement table.
Both made each other collapse and Punk woke them up to fight. Page got involved in an argument with Punk and Page delivered a GTS to Williams near fall. Page tried for Ego’s Edge, but Williams performed a Trick Shot to win the NXT Championship for the second time. After the match, Punk and Page pushed each other and Punk delivered a GTS to end the show.
