The former World Heavyweight Champion will team up with Roman Reigns!

‘Main Event’ Jey Uso is all set to team up with ‘The OTC’ Roman Reigns to take on the team of Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed, who will be confronted by Paul Heyman. The match was set up following Reigns’ return as he looks to settle the score with Heyman for betraying him at WrestleMania 41.

The two teams will lock horns on the first night of the 2025 edition of SummerSlam, which is scheduled to take place as a two-night event on Saturday, August 2, and Sunday, August 3, 2025. The show will emanate live from the MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, U.S.A.

While the two teams have been at each other’s throats and Jey himself accepted the opportunity to team up with Reigns to battle Breakker and Reed, many fans are predicting a heel turn for him at the PLE.

The mind games

On the go-home show of Monday Night Raw, Paul Heyman, in a segment with Jey Uso, tried to play mind games, reminding him how Roman has treated him and still has not said sorry for his behavior.

Heyman also pointed out how Reigns picked Solo Sikoa to be next in line to be the Tribal Chief, not Jey. Heyman also professed his love for Jey and offered him to join forces. While Jey quickly turned down the offer, stating that the bloodline still runs in his veins.

The heel turn

During the final moments of the show, Jey was battling Reed in a singles match when he was attacked by Bron Breaker, leading to a premature ending of the match. Reigns tried to help, but Reed and Breakker took over, punishing both men to end the show.

WWE could use this angle, as well as the past between Jey and Reigns, to turn the former World Heavyweight Champion heel and align with Paul Heyman’s faction. The storyline would work especially since Seth Rollins was forced out of action due to injury.

Fans online have also theorized that if Jey is not getting the World title rematch against Gunther and isn’t being treated as one of the top babyfaces, he should turn heel at the PLE, providing a major shocking twist.

Jey himself has stated on the Ringer Wrestling Show back in April that he wants one more heel run after the ‘Yeet’ era ends. While his ‘Yeet’ era is far from over, fans believe he would thrive as a heel again.

Some fans also stated that if Cody Rhodes is turning heel at SummerSlam, Jey should replace him as the top babyface in the promotion.
