Many prominent WWE female stars have been a part of several Hollywood films

It has become a common trend for WWE superstars to step away from the physical action for a while and take up parts in blockbuster Hollywood films. Over the years, we have seen WWE stars fully transition into acting or play prominent film characters.

With a rich connection between WWE and Hollywood films, here are the top five female WWE superstars who have worked in Hollywood films:

5. Eve Torres

Eve Torres was a prominent name in WWE during the Divas Era, where she was featured in top-tier storylines and paired with bonafide stars like John Cena, Zack Ryder and Kane. However, Torres took retirement from the world of professional wrestling in 2013 and starred in multiple Hollywood movies, debuting in Queens of the Ring. Her most notable work saw her starring alongside Jackie Chan in Skiptrace, which collected over $100 million at the box office.

4. Ronda Rousey

Ronda Rousey became a prominent figure through her stint in UFC. During that time, she made her debut in the 2014 film The Expendables, where she played the role of Luna. The Baddest Woman on the Planet then went on to star in movies like Furious 7, Entourage, Mile 22 and Charlie’s Angels, etching prominent films to her illustrious resume.

3. Becky Lynch

Becky Lynch emerged as one of the biggest WWE superstars of all time in the modern era. Her fame and impact landed her a role in WWE’s home production, 2018 The Marine 6: Close Quarters, playing the role of Maddy Hayes, followed by her voice-over debut in the 2021 Rumble Axehammer. While Becky Lynch might have only been a part of two films as of now, her current free agency status could drive her to pursue acting on a more full-time basis.

2. Charlotte Flair

The 14-time WWE Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair made her debut in acting with the 2017 film Psych: The Movie, playing the role of Heather Rockrear. The Queen will return to the silver screen with her independent movie project You Lose You Die, which will be released later this year.

1. Trish Stratus

Trish Stratus made a full-length acting debut in the Canadian film, Bail Enforcers that was released in 2011. The WWE Hall of Famer later went on to play parts in movies such as Gridlocked in 2015 and Christmas in Rockwell in 2022 and rocked the silver screen with her sensational performances, much like she did inside the squared circle.
