The 08/05 episode of WWE Raw teased several new rivalries
WWE successfully hosted the August 05, 2024 episode of Monday Night Raw from Baltimore, Maryland. The show was a massive success and was a PLE-worthy show. Several interesting matches and segments were featured in the show, which teases the beginning of the new rivalries. Here we take a look at all the feuds teased on this week’s WWE Raw.
Gunther vs Randy Orton
In the opening segment of Monday Night Raw, Gunther came out with the World Heavyweight Championship for the first time. The Ring General while sending the message to the locker room about the beginning of his reign, Randy Orton confronted him and challenged him to a world championship match.
Orton claimed himself the reason for Gunther’s title match at Summerslam. Gunther considered it fair and gave him the title shot at Bash in Berlin. It seems like we could see a lot of Orton on Raw in the upcoming weeks to develop their feud.
Damian Priest & Rhea Ripley vs The New Judgment Day
After being betrayed by Finn Balor at SummerSlam, Damian Priest called him out for the punishment that he deserved. However, Finn appeared at the titration and said that the reason for betrayal is Priest himself and his dominant behavior after the world title win.
Balor made it clear that he is not alone, as he got backed up with the entire Judgment Day with Liv Morgan. Later the same night during the match, all the new Judgment Day members attacked Priest, however, Rhea Ripley made the save. This clearly states that the rivalry is between the Terror Twins and the entire Judgment Day.
CM Punk vs Drew McIntyre to continue
CM Punk during his live microphone session called for a rematch with Drew McIntyre, however, Seth Rollins appeared to potentially attack Punk. Before both had hands on each other, McIntyre walked in and triggered Punk with the bracelet, and they played the cat and mouse game. This suggests that Punk & McIntyre are not done with each other until the bracelet goes back to where it belongs.
Seth Rollins vs Bronson Reed
After Punk went chasing McIntyre, Bronson Reed brutally assaulted Seth Rollins delivering a rolling senton and a total of six Tsunami, making Rollins bleed internally, causing him to cough blood. After the brutal assault, Reed said that he was done waiting to earn a spot and instead he started to take it. Reed vs Rollins will be the new chapter on the red brand in the upcoming weeks.
Odyssey Jones & The New Day vs Final Testament
Odyssey Jones made his long-awaited WWE main roster debut on Raw, attacking Final Testament and aligning with The New Day. Since Jones made his debut, the New Day can now have a full-fledged feud against Final Testament going for three on three.
Sami Zayn vs Bron Breakker
Sami Zayn lost his Intercontinental Championship against Bron Breakker at SummerSlam and got upset about it. However, he claimed a 2 out of 3 fall match for the IC title next week on Raw. Zayn will finally end his feud with Breakker next week, irrespective of whether he wins or loses the title.
Sami Zayn & Jey Uso vs The Judgment Day
Sami Zayn met Jey Uso during the backstage segment, where Jey spoke about the unfinished business with Judgment Day and Sami potentially holding two titles. The hint seems clear that Jey Uso and Sami Zayn will be having a rivalry against Judgment Day for the World TagTeam Championship in the upcoming weeks.
