Rhea Ripley has turned out to be a big star for WWE
Liv Morgan has proved to be a constant thorn in the path of Rhea Ripley for months. The duo once used to be a tag team but are now bitter rivals, as both have sent each other to the sidelines with legitimate injuries.
Not only has Morgan taken away the women’s championship from the Australian, but she has also hijacked her on-screen beau, ‘Dirty’ Dominik Mysterio. After weeks of cat-and-mouse games, Ripley and Morgan will fight it out at the WWE Bad Blood PLE scheduled for next month.
Here, we take a look at the top five finishes for this much-anticipated women’s championship match.
5. Liv Morgan retains her title with the help of Dominik Mysterio
The most predictable outcome for the title clash could see Morgan retain her title with an assist from Mysterio. This would help WWE extend the storyline and make Ripley even more frustrated with her ex.
Also, it could lead to an unusual one-on-one showdown between ‘The Eradicator’ and Dom down the line. The Stamford-based promotion could go down this route if they wish to give Morgan some more time at the helm of the Monday Night RAW’s women’s division.
4. Rhea Ripley regains the women’s strap on her own
Dominik Mysterio interfering in the match is all but confirmed. However, the way Ripley has been booked during her main roster run, it won’t be a surprise if she overcomes all the odds single-handedly and regains the belt on her own.
This would definitely cheer up the WWE universe, as the former Judgement Day member has emerged as a crowd favorite lately. The only catch for this scenario is that the wrestling juggernaut would have to completely bury Morgan.
3. Rhea Ripley loses her cool and ends up being disqualified
Liv Morgan and Dominik Mysterio have been testing Ripley’s patience for far too long now. So much so, that it feels just a matter of time before the former NXT women’s champion snaps and destroys the villainous couple.
Any such outburst could mean that she jeopardizes any chance of regaining her prized possession. Champion’s advantage would work in the favor of Morgan as she would retain the women’s title, albeit at the cost of her well-being.
2. Other Judgement Day members get involved, handing Morgan the win
While it seems unlikely that Finn Balor would get involved in the title bout as he has his own score to settle with Damian Priest at the Bad Blood PLE. However, Carlito and JD McDonaugh could surely dent Rhea Ripley’s hopes of winning the women’s title.
This sort of finish could see her so preoccupied with Dom that she forgets the other ways the heel faction could hurt her title aspirations. The WWE could benefit from such a swerve as the whole world would be expecting junior Mysterio to throw a spanner in the works, but it’ll be his Judgement Day lackeys that end up getting their hands dirty. Morgan wouldn’t be complaining, either, as long as she retains the strap.
1. Jey Uso intervenes on behalf of Ripley, leading her to a famous victory
Jey Uso has emerged as a surprise ally for both Ripley and Damian Priest as they have tried to ward off Judgement Day.
Although the former Bloodline member’s interference in the women’s title clash is a long shot, it cannot be outrightly denied.
This way, WWE can further the on-screen romance angle between Uso and Ripley. Also, if he does end up winning the Intercontinental title when he challenges Bronn Breakker soon, the Stamford-based promotion could have the next power couple on its hands with two red brand titles in their grasp.
Irrespective of the outcome, Ripley and Morgan’s showdown at Bad Blood promises to be a tense affair. Only time will tell who emerges as the women’s champion, but one thing is for sure: fans will get their money’s worth in this deeply personal battle.
