In the year 2024, some of the top WWE title reigns that must end end before SummerSlam.
The onset of 2024 has seen multiple WWE titles change hands while some walked into the year as the title holders. This included historic moments, lengthy title reigns coming to an end, and superstars realizing their dreams.
However, some title reigns based on the fans reactions and their credibility are not looking to make it past the biggest party of the summer, WWE SummerSlam. Here are five of those WWE title reigns that would possibly end before the grand spectacle.
5. The Miz & R-Truth
The Awesome Truth, comprising The Miz and R-Truth, achieved a big WrestleMania moment this year by winning the tag team titles in a high-stakes ladder match. However, with both superstars being veterans and possibly looking to elevate tag teams of today, this could see them drop their titles in the next few weeks and not be champions till WWE SummerSlam.
4. Bayley
Despite her long tenure in WWE, it was at WrestleMania 40 that Bayley achieved a big moment at The Show of Shows by winning the WWE Women’s Championship from IYO Sky. Although her popularity is at an all-time high, WWE could use it to push other upcoming stars on SmackDown, like Tiffany Stratton and Blair Davenport, leading to Bayley’s title reign ending in the near future.
3. Sami Zayn
Sami Zayn defeating Gunther at WrestleMania 40 was the ultimate shocker for the Underdog from The Underground in his WWE career. However, with his ongoing rivalry with Chad Gable, who has become a hot act on Monday Night RAW, his title reign could end at his hands before SummerSlam, possibly at WWE Clash at the Castle in their scheduled match coming up next week.
2. Damian Priest
Damian Priest achieved his life-long dream by successfully cashing in his Money in the Bank contract at WrestleMania 40 and winning the World Heavyweight Championship from Drew McIntyre. However, with Priest walking into a rematch with McIntyre at WWE Clash at the Castle in his home country of Scotland, there is a huge possibility of his title reign coming to an end and McIntyre clinching the biggest win of his WWE career in front of his own people.
1. Logan Paul
Ever since Logan Paul won the WWE United States Championship last year at WWE Crown Jewel, he has rarely defended his title on a regular basis. Moreover, each of those title defenses has seen Paul retain the title with some underhanded tactics and his trusted brass knuckles.
WWE, in the era of full-time champions, could take the title off Logan Paul before SummerSlam despite the event being in his hometown of Cleveland, Ohio. However, that could possibly be due to the fact that WWE might have a bigger plan for the social media sensation at The Biggest Party of the Summer.
