After AJ Lee’s return we could see many other old faces back in WWE!

The WWE Universe is still buzzing after AJ Lee’s shocking return to SmackDown, her first appearance in a decade. The moment felt surreal, with fans erupting for one of the most beloved stars of the Divas era.

Her comeback not only reignites interest in her career but also opens the door for other iconic names from that generation to possibly follow suit.

The Divas era often divides opinion among fans, but there’s no denying it produced several memorable stars who helped shape the women’s division.

With AJ Lee back in the mix, speculation is running wild about who else might lace up their boots once more. Here are five former Divas who could realistically return to WWE following AJ Lee’s return.

5. Alicia Fox

Alicia Fox was one of the longest-serving women in WWE, with a career spanning nearly two decades. Known for her charisma, athleticism, and unique character work, Fox brought versatility to every role she played. Since leaving WWE in 2023, she has stayed active on the independent circuit under the name Vix Crow, even competing in ROH and signing with TNA.

Her continued involvement in wrestling suggests she remains in solid shape, making a return both possible and intriguing. Fox also has a good relationship with WWE, meaning the door is wide open for a short program or a nostalgic one-off feud.

4. Kelly Kelly

Kelly Kelly was one of WWE’s most recognizable faces during the late 2000s and early 2010s. A former Divas Champion, she often carried the women’s division during her peak. At 38, Kelly has repeatedly expressed her desire to step back into the ring, particularly so her children can watch her wrestle.

Her existing Legends contract with WWE makes this return all the more realistic. While it would likely be a limited appearance, perhaps at a Premium Live Event, her star power and name recognition would create a big buzz among fans.

3. Mickie James

Few names resonate in women’s wrestling history like Mickie James. A multi-time champion and trailblazer, James remains under WWE’s umbrella as an ambassador and has recently contributed as a coach on A&E’s Legends and Future Greats series. Importantly, she has never officially retired, continuing to wrestle sporadically.

With her husband Nick Aldis now playing a pivotal role in WWE management, the timing for her comeback couldn’t be better. A short run would give fans one more chance to see a legend mix it up with today’s top stars.

2. Paige

Few names from the Divas Era resonate with fans as much as Paige. At just 21, she ended AJ Lee’s record-setting Divas Championship reign in her WWE debut, cementing herself as a trailblazer. Now 33 and recently departed from AEW, Paige has teased interest in returning to WWE.

With her fanbase still incredibly strong, WWE has every reason to bring her back. If Paige does reappear, it could easily be one of the biggest returns of the decade, potentially setting up a massive reunion clash with AJ Lee or a dream feud with newer stars.

Finally, Brie Bella remains one of the most likely candidates for a return. The 41-year-old has repeatedly teased stepping back into the ring, and her sister Nikki Bella’s current WWE involvement strengthens those chances.

Fans have long wanted one last run for The Bella Twins, and with the Women’s Tag Team Championships now firmly established, the stage is set. A return by Brie would not only honor the legacy of the Divas Era but also give fans the chance to see the twins together one last time on the road to WrestleMania 42.
