WWE Holiday Tour’s stop on 12/28 was Baltimore, Maryland
Former United States Champion LA Knight was recently involved in a car crash while en route to Baltimore for the WWE Holiday Tour, which stopped in the city on December 28.
During his appearance at the CFG Bank Arena, Knight cut a promo and revealed his story in front of Baltimore fans. The former Champion took on the leader of the Legado Del Fantasma faction, Santos Escobar.
Before the match, Knight grabbed the mic and shared the story of his accident with the live audience at the CFG Bank Arena. The former champion disclosed that he had been involved in a minor crash.
“It wasn’t an easy road down here. I’ll tell you why. Earlier today, I was driving high 70. Got a little fender bender. Somebody decided to bang it into my car.” Knight said.
The former champion went on to explain that he called someone to repair the car, and they asked if he could stay at the scene. Knight replied, emphasizing that he needed to get to Baltimore in time for his match.
“You don’t understand I gotta get to Baltimore!” The former champion said. The former US champion emerged victorious in his clash against Escobar at the CFG Bank Arena.
LA Knight recently lost his title at Survivor Series: WarGames
Knight suffered a major setback recently when he lost the United States title at the hands of Shinsuke Nakamura at Survivor Series: WarGames PLE. The clash at the final PLE was Knight’s eighth title defense.
However, he suffered defeat at the Survivor Series PLE which ended his title reign at 119 days. The former champion demanded a rematch instantly but was attacked by Solo Sikoa’s Bloodline which led to a six-man tag match between Sikoa’s Bloodline and Knight who teamed up with Andrade and Apollo Crews.
Nakamura ambushed Knight during the six-man tag match which hints that the feud between the two might not be over and with multiple PLEs in the next few months the promotion might have big plans for the former US champion.
Knight’s US title reign started when he defeated Logan Paul at SummerSlam 2024 PLE which was held at the Cleveland Browns Stadium in Cleveland, Ohio, USA. This loss ended Paul’s 273-day title reign.
How will LA Knight respond to the recent attack by Shinsuke Nakamura? Do you want to see a rematch between the two for the US title? Share your thoughts and opinions in the comments section.
