Chad Gable was the first to address the ‘transfer window’ on 12/06 SmackDown
The 12/06 episode of Friday Night SmackDown was the Survivor Series fallout show as the final PLE of 2024 concluded at the Rogers Arena on November 30.
The 12/06 show of the Blue brand aired live from the Target Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota, U.S.A. During the episode ‘Transfer Window’ was mentioned a couple of times, which puzzled fans as to what it was and its effect on the roster.
In the opening segment of the 12/06 Chad Gable appeared with his faction, American-Made. This was due to the aforementioned transfer window and it seems there’s set to be another shake-up on the rosters in preparation for Monday Night Raw’s move to Netflix.
Gable was the first to mention the process when he confronted Cody Rhodes in the opening segment. Rhodes kicked off the show in Minneapolis and was discussing his upcoming match with Kevin Owens when Gable interrupted.
“You might be asking yourself why the greatest athlete to ever come out of Minnesota is here tonight, That’s because the transfer window is about to open, and Nick Aldis put a little call in to talk about possibly bringing the greatest in-ring technician of all time to SmackDown.” Gable said.
Michael Cole indicated that the three brands are working towards a shakeup
Following the segment, Michael Cole from the commentary booth shared additional details, revealing that all three brands are collaborating to revamp the Raw, SmackDown, and NXT rosters.
He emphasized that the upcoming transfer would significantly shake things up “in a major way” ahead of the Red brand‘s move to Netflix.
Later in the episode, World Heavyweight Champion Gunther appeared backstage talking to Blue brand’s General Manager Nick Aldis.
The Ring General’s move to the Blue brand signals the Undisputed Champion, Cody Rhodes, moving to the Red brand.
Dominik Mysterio and possibly the rest of The Judgement Day look to be heading to the Blue brand as the promotion shakes up its roster. However, it has not been clarified by the promotion how this new transfer window will affect the 2025 WWE Draft and whether it’s temporary or permanent.
The debut episode of Monday Night RAW on Netflix will officially be held on January 6, 2025. The venue for the premier show will be the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles, California, U.S.A.
