Gunther vs Logan Paul match teased for WWE Raw Debut on Netflix

Logan Paul made his return during the WWE Raw On Netflix Kick off Event

Former United States Champion Logan Paul made his highly awaited return during the WWE Raw On Netflix Kick-off Event. Despite claiming that he is retired, Paul appeared during the show.

The Red brand’s General Manager Adam Pearce announced him as the newest member of the Raw roster. Knight defeated Paul at SummerSlam PLE to win the United States title.

In his return,  Logan put the division on notice claiming that he is back not just to take part but to take over. The former US champion also revealed his intentions to fight for the World title. He also reminded the crowd that he is a star and their approval meant nothing to him because they were still watching him.

“I am a bully and the WWE is my playground, I’m not here to take part. I’m here to take over. Your approval means nothing to me… I don’t care, because you’re still watching and you will stay watching, because you are spectator and I am a star. I promise everyone in the crowd right now, everyone watching at home. You are looking at the future WWE World Champion, and his name is Logan Paul.” The former US champion stated.

Gunther responds with a stern warning

World Heavyweight Champion, Gunther later made an appearance in the show as Michael Cole announced that The Ring General will remain as the face of the Red brand after the move. Michael Cole was joined by WWE’s COO Triple H and General Manager Adam Pearce during the announcement.

The Ring General reflected on his WWE career and the title accolades that he has been able to accomplish. Michael Cole then asked the champion for his response to Logan Paul’s earlier declaration of intent to challenge for the World Heavyweight Championship.

The Ring General responded to Paul’s earlier comments, vowing to take down the social media star. The Champion stated that he would ‘slap that stupid smirk’ off Paul’s face. Gunther acknowledged Paul’s talent but dismissed his chances of becoming World Champion, promising to wipe the smirk off his face.

Well, he’s obviously a very talented man. Athletically, but also in the entertainment world. He’s the jack of all trades, as they say. But I don’t believe World Heavyweight Champion is one of them. That being said, I think my English is pretty good by now, but I’ll make it even simpler. If Logan Paul thinks he can walk in here and take this away from me, if he ever makes it to the top of the line to challenge me for the World Heavyweight Championship, it will be my duty and my pleasure to slap that stupid smirk out of his face.” Gunther said.

It seems like the promotion is planning to book the returning star in a world title match against the dominant champion. Paul has held the US title and has challenged Cody Rhodes unsuccessfully for the Undisputed WWE Championship at WWE King and Queen of the Ring.
