Seth Rollins & Roman Reigns debuted in 2012 as ‘The Shield’

From former Sheild brothers to fierce rivals, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns have come a long way since their debut on the main roster. The two stars debuted with Dean Ambrose (Jon Moxley) as The Shield in 2012.

The three stars quickly took over the WWE universe, decimating everybody in the division and acting as mercenaries. However, in 2014 Rollins turned his back on his brothers and betrayed Reigns and Ambrose.

Although the faction parted ways ten years ago and Rollins and Reigns went their separate way, the bad blood between the two is still evident. Rollins recently refused to team up with Reigns for the WarGames clash against the Bloodline at Survivor Series.

Seth Rollins & Roman Reigns have faced each other on ten occasions

The two stars have fought each other ten times since they parted ways in 2014. Among the ten televised singles matches of the pair, three took place in 2014 when their rivalry began.

The two stars locked horns for the first time on the 09/15/2014 episode of Monday Night Raw, where The OTC picked up the win in their first meeting.

The Visionary exacted his revenge in their second meeting when he defeated Reigns at the 2014 Night of Champions PLE by count-out. However, Roman bounced back quickly with a win via disqualification on the 12/29/2014 episode of Monday Night Raw.

In 2015, the pair fought for the first time on the 03/02/2015 episode of the Red brand. The Visionary defeated Reigns at the show which took place in the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.

On the 06/30/2015 episode of Friday Night SmackDown the pair met for the second time that year, Reigns emerged victorious in the clash as he picked up the win via disqualification.

Rollins and Reigns fought for their sixth time singles match in 2016 where they faced each other for the World Heavyweight Title at Money In The Bank 2016 PLE which took place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.

The Visionary defeated Reigns to claim the World Heavyweight title at the PLE in 2016. However, his celebration lasted a mere moments as Dean Ambrose cashed in and picked up a quick victory to claim the title.

The former Sheild brothers clashed on the next day of the PLE on the 06/20/2016 episode of Monday Night Raw. The #1 contender spot for the World Heavyweight title is up for grabs in the match. The match ended in a double count-out.

In 2017, the pair faced only once against each other in the 05/29/2017 episode of the Red brand. The Original Tribal Chief picked up the win at the Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville, South Carolina.

The script was flipped in their next meeting where Rollins who was repping the Red brand emerged victorious against Reigns in the 10/11/2019 episode of the Blue brand at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The two Titans last fought each other at the 2022 Royal Rumble at The Dome at America’s Center in St. Louis, Missouri on February 29. While Rollins won the match, Reigns retained his title via disqualification.
