Many A-list celebrities have been part of WWE storylines

The relationship between Hollywood and WWE is not at all new, as we have seen over the years influential figures from both industries being involved in the products of their counterparts in an attempt to enhance the entertainment value.

Be it in the form of wrestlers making celebrity cameos in movies or portraying full-blown lead roles in certain films, or Hollywood celebrities making the crossover and coming into WWE to feature in key segments, rivalries, and even matches. Let’s take a look at a few Hollywood actors who made guest appearances in the WWE:

Hugh Jackman

Starting with the lead actor of “Deadpool and Wolverine”, which grossed over 1.2 billion USD at the global box office, it also marked Hugh Jackman’s return as Wolverine after six years. One of the most renowned actors in Hollywood, Hugh Jackman, also made a guest appearance in WWE back on an episode of Monday Night Raw in 2011.

He played the role of Zack Ryder’s manager in his match against Dolph Ziggler. He also helped Zack pick up the victory by assisting him by punching Ziggler in the face during the key moments of the match. That was one memorable encounter for sure.

Arnold Schwarzenegger

Arnold Schwarzenegger made many notable cameo appearances in the WWE and was a part of several key segments. His impact was so significant that in 2015 he got inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame as part of the celebrity wing.

The most memorable Arnold Schwarzenegger moment in the WWE still has to be in 1999, when he appeared on an episode of Smackdown to promote his movie “End Of Days.” He got physical on the night, punching Triple H in the face and helping Vince McMahon win a match.

Ashton Kutcher

Ashton Kutcher, known most famously for appearing in the beloved television comedy series “Two and a Half Men” and featuring in the hit movie “No Strings Attached,” made multiple appearances in the WWE. The most memorable one happened in 2010 when he put a hit out for Zack Ryder.

It was a show-long storyline with Ryder panicking about who he thought the celebrity would have set to attack him from behind. However, in the end, it was Alicia Fox, Zack’s girlfriend in kayfabe, who attacked Ryder, allowing Kutcher to have the last laugh in the process.

Joe Manganiello

As already mentioned, Arnold Schwarzenegger made several notable cameo appearances in the WWE, and on one instance he shared the ring with Joe Manganiello, who starred in a movie alongside him known as “Sabotage.” The two appeared on an episode of Monday Night Raw in 2014, sharing the stage with Hulk Hogan to promote their new movie.

The Miz would interrupt the segment, making mean remarks about them, only to get pushed around and punched in the face by Joe Manganiello before getting thrown out of the ring by Hulk Hogan.

Snoop Dogg

Snoop Dogg is an extremely popular rapper and actor. His immense popularity is associated with his timeless music, but he has also acted in several Hollywood films, most recently in “The Garfield Movie” as a voice actor. He is also a lifelong wrestling fan and the first cousin of Sasha Banks, currently performing in AEW as Mercedes Moné.

Snoop Dogg has also made multiple appearances in the WWE, most recently at Wrestlemania 39 as a host alongside The Miz for the two nights. On Night Two, when Snoop manipulated The Miz into wrestling Shane McMahon, Shane suffered a quad injury right before the match.

Like father like son, right? This led to Snoop improvising on the spot, hitting The Miz with a People’s Elbow and doing a fantastic job in the process. This ended up being one of the night’s most-watched moments, showcasing how Snoop was a natural when it came to on-the-spot improvisation in wrestling entertainment.
