CM Punk vs Drew McIntyre’s feud could result in a third match!

CM Punk and Drew McIntyre have been having a heated rivalry since late 2023. They developed their storyline into one of the key driving factors of the company, despite being medically uncleared to compete.

Both had their first match at SummerSlam 2024, where Drew won. Punk took his revenge by defeating Drew in a strap match to level up the scores. As most thought their rivalry was over, Drew brutally assaulted Punk to continue their rivalry. At this stage, WWE analyst predicted what’s next for their rivalry.

CM Punk vs Drew McIntyre in a Hell in a Cell match?

The American Wrestling Personality and Analyst Peter Rosenberg on the recent edition of the Cheap Heat Podcast predicted what’s next for the CM Punk vs Drew McIntyre feud. Rosenberg predicts that Punk vs McIntyre’s third match could be a Hell in a Cell match, which he thinks should main event the upcoming Bad Blood PLE on October 5, 2024, in Atlanta, Georgia. He said that their rivalry doesn’t need a title to main event the show.

Peter Rosernberg said,

“You know what we’re getting. Oh yeah, we are going to Hell in a Cell. They have to. I believe too they should make it the true main event of Bad Blood. You do not need a title match to main event Bad Blood. It should be CM Punk vs. Drew McIntyre, Hell in a Cell, once and for all, this is it.”

On the other hand, another former WWE analyst, Jonathan Coachman on the Behind the Turnbuckle Podcast said the same. The Coach said that if he was there in WWE, he would go for a Hell in a Cell match between Punk & McIntyre, as the regular match could be a downgrade in their feud.

Jonathan Coachman said,

“Have you ever felt a steel cage? Let me take it a step further. Have you ever been in there and felt a Hell in a Cell? That’s where I would go; where you lock them in, where neither one can run neither one can hide; they beat the hell out of each other; there’s blood everywhere; they go to every place, and that to me is how you settle that feud. You don’t do regular matches. If you make this a regular match, it will be the biggest letdown you’ve ever seen,”
