Cody Rhodes aligned with Roman Reigns to take on The Bloodline at Bad Blood 2024!

On the September 13, 2024, episode of SmackDown, Cody Rhodes defended his Undisputed WWE Championship match against Solo Sikoa in a steel cage match. After the match, the Bloodline attacked Cody Rhodes until Roman Reigns made his return and both managed to take down Solo and the Bloodline. Following the attack, Solo Sikoa & Jacob Fatu called for a tag team match against Cody Rhodes & Roman Reigns at Bad Blood.

Although Cody & Roman hesitated to team up with each other, the Bloodline’s attack made their mind to sign the contract to make the tag team match official for Bad Blood. As Cody agreed to team up with Roman, the alliance could put his friendship with Kevin Owens & Randy Orton at risk. Here we take a look at the possible angles.

Cody’s relationship with Seth Rollins could affect

Seth Rollins sacrificed his body and soul to help Cody overcome the Bloodline’s number games and win the Undisputed WWE Championship. Rollins suffered big-time punishment from Roman & Rock on the road to WrestleMania. As Rollins was busy helping Cody, he lost his world title. At this stage, Cody aligning with Roman could affect their future relationship, as Rollins may never accept Cody for having the back of Roman. This could result in Rollins refusing to step up for Cody if he gets himself in trouble with the Bloodline.

Cody’s friendship with Kevin Owens & Randy Orton is at risk

Cody Rhodes, Kevin Owens and Randy Orton are great friends, who always have each other’s back, especially when it comes to The Bloodline. All three had a great rivalry with the Bloodline and were Worsley affected by the Bloodline’s game in the past four years. Despite all three having unfinished business with the Bloodline, Rhodes aligning with Roman Reigns could cause trouble within their trio-friendship.

Kevin Owens has been battling with Roman for the last four years and is still mad at Roman Reigns. Owens accepted the match with Cody at Bash in Berlin to stop Aldis from putting Roman into the title spot again.

On the other hand, the Bloodline nearly ended Randy Orton’s career two years ago causing a major back injury. As Cody teamed up with Roman, both Orton & Owens could confront Cody and ask why he joined forces with Roman. This could cause a misunderstanding between Cody & R-KO.

This could initiate a split between them, setting the stage for a major heel turn. As most of them expected Kevin Owens to turn on Cody at Bash in Berlin, this could happen at Bad Blood or in the upcoming events. Since the match between Randy & Cody is teased to happen in a future event, it could pave the way for a future match between the two.
