The Rock has been on hiatus since WrestleMania 40 weekend!
The Rock made his WWE return earlier this year right from day one and had a full-time run, until WrestleMania 40 weekend. He was active throughout the road to WrestleMania and was a part of one of the greatest WrestleMania, despite the twists, turns and character changes due to storyline changes.
Rock initially teased a feud with Roman Reigns, however, he aligned with Roman to feud against Cody Rhodes & Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 40 and secured victory for The Bloodline at WrestleMania 40 Night 1. He also had his appearance at the WrestleMania 40 Night 2 main event in favor of Roman, but didn’t help his cousin to retain the championship.
The Rock then announced his temporary hiatus for an indefinite time at Raw after WrestleMania but promised to be back down the road. At this stage, backstage rumors potentially revealed the WWE return date and venue of ‘The Final Boss’.
The Rock is to return at Survivor Series 2024
Wrestling Votes reported that WWE has been in discussion to bring the 2024 Survivor Series to the new Intuit Dome on November 30, 2024. The Intuit Dome will be the new home venue for the Los Angeles Clippers and it is located in Inglewood, California. The venue is located just a few blocks from the WrestleMania 39 SoFi stadium and it is yet to be opened in a month.
WrestleVotes reported,
“WWE has had significant discussions about bringing the 2024 Survivor Series to Los Angeles at the brand new Intuit Dome on Saturday, November 30th. The Intuit Dome, located across from SoFi Stadium, will officially open on August 15th with a Bruno Mars concert.”
Following the potential reveal of the Survivor Series venue, there are several rumors that The Rock will be making his return to the PLE. Reports noted that Rock is just a drive away from the venue and the Rock’s potential return cannot be unseen.
It is also important to note that Rock’s WWE debut came at the Survivor Series pay-per-view on November 17, 1996, and most believe that his return at the event will be a massive draw. However, nothing is confirmed yet, regarding The Final Boss’ return.
