The Puerto Rican rapper last appeared on WWE TV in 2023!

A self-professed fan of professional wrestling, Bad Bunny first appeared in WWE in 2021, he also managed to win the 24/7 Championship from Akira Tozawa with the help of fellow Puerto Rican, Damian Priest. The two stars also teamed up to defeat the team of John Morrison & The Miz at WrestleMania 37.

This was Bunny’s first match, not just in the WWE but overall, with his second appearance coming during the Royal Rumble 2022. However, his most recent and arguably the most memorable appearance was during Backlash 2023.

After a fallout with Damian, who was then in the Judgment Day, Bad Bunny, who was originally set to host the PLE in his native Puerto Rico, decided to instead battle the Archer of Infamy in ‘San Juan Street Fight’. The rapper put on a show and was admired by his home fans.

Bunny defeated Priest and registered his first singles win in the promotion. Since then, there have been murmurs, but he is yet to make a return to the Stamford-based promotion. However, a recent post by Damian Priest on his X handle with Bunny has led many fans to speculate if he is making a return to the WWE.

Damian Priest and Bad Bunny met at Yankee Stadium during the finale of the Subway Series

The Subway Series finale between the New York Yankees and Mets at Yankee Stadium was attended by not just Bad Bunny but also the former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest, who shared the image of them together with the Puerto Rican flag.

The image quickly caught the attention of many fans who started speculating about the rapper’s return. While it is important to note that there have been reports of him making a return soon, and teaming up with Cody Rhodes to battle the team of John Cena and Travis Scott another rapper who has been involved in recent storyline and is reportedly training for a potential in-ring debut with WWE Hall of Famer Booker T.

Bunny has also openly expressed his desire to get back inside the squared circle. In an interview with Rolling Stone in January, he revealed that he’s prepared to return to the WWE ring despite his mother’s concerns.
