Despite these ambitions, it is unclear whether Punk will be prepared and medically cleared by that day. Meltzer added that, while Punk may be prepared, it is “not a sure thing.”

Drew McIntyre assaulted CM Punk on SmackDown in retaliation for his actions the previous week. McIntyre also removed Punk’s wristband and left him untouched on stage. The fans were concerned about McIntyre’s attack on Punk and wanted an update on him.
