Jey Uso has been striving to become a singles champion since last year!

Jey Uso is one of the biggest babyfaces and the most celebrated wrestlers among fans on the active WWE roster. The former Right Handman of Roman Reigns split his path with The Bloodline and turned face in mid-2023.

Ever since he left The Bloodline, Jey started working as a singles wrestler and gained huge attention from the WWE Universe. Jey created his own identity and has been in a long pursuit to win his first singles championship.

At this stage, Jey is all set to face Bron Breakker on the September 23, 2024, episode of WWE Raw for the Intercontinental Championship. Is this the right time for Jey Uso to win his first singles match? Here are some of the reasons why this is the right time for Jey Uso to win his first singles title in WWE.

3. End horrible singles title match record

Although Jey has been proving to be a championship contender, the Yeet Master has one of the most horrible singles championship match records in the company.

Ever since Jey repacked himself as a singles wrestler, he had a total of seven championship matches, in which Jey lost all the matches. As this being said, this could be the right time for Jey to end his horrible singles championship record by winning the Intercontinental title.

2. Family Feud

Bron Breakker took the rivalry more personal with Jey, by saying that none of Jey’s family members had defeated Breakker’s family members.

As the title bout became a family fight, Jey could pull the trigger and do the unthinkable by dethroning Bron to win the championship, for his family. Jey becoming the first person to defeat a Steiner family member could put more prestige on his family.

1. Might never be a singles wrestler again

Jey left the Bloodline to pursue his singles career away from the Bloodline. Jey has some of the best non-title singles matches and proved his caliber, however, a singles championship win is the only hurdle in his path. As the rumors suggest that there will be the Original Bloodline reunion in the upcoming events, Jey could move back into the Bloodline.

Which could patch him with Jimmy & make him return to the tag team division. If Jey patched with Bloodline, it is unknown whether he would be back into singles wrestling again. At this stage, Jey is now in a position where he must win the singles title, before reuniting with the Bloodline.
