Giulia is an English-born Italian-Japanese professional wrestler, who is currently wrestling in Dream Star Fighting Marigold Japanese Promotion. She is best known for her time in World Wonder Ring Stardom and gained the attention of the world.

The 30-year-old star has been rumored to join WWE and the talks have been circulating for a long time. At this stage, Giulia has announced her departure from the Japanese pro-wrestling promotions. Here we take a look at the possibility of her joining WWE.

Giulia announced her last match in Japan

On July 30, 2024, at the MARIGOLD Summer Gold Shine 2024 event in Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, Japan, Giulia teamed up with Marigold World Champion Sareee and defeated Victoria Yuzuki and Kizuna Tanaka in a tag team match.

After the match, Giulia announced that the August 19, 2024 match at the Korakuen Hall will be her final match in Japan. She announced that she was going to challenge the world of pro wrestling after that and the decision was taken after many years. She said that she still had five matches in Japan and began the countdown.

She said,

“August 19th Korakuen Hall will be my final match in Japan. I’m going to challenge the world of pro-wrestling. This is a decision I took after pondering on after many years. These are my final 5 matches in Japan on this countdown.”

Earlier this week, Dream Star Fighting Marigold’s founder and head of booking, Hiroshi Ogawa hinted at Giulia’s departure from the Japanese Promotion. He said that she didn’t have much time left in Japan and asked who could take her from there.

Is Giulia joining WWE?

Earlier this year, Giulia made her surprise appearance at the WWE NXT Stand and Deliver 2024 pay-per-view, seated among the NXT Universe and had a huge reaction from the fans.

Following that Fightful Select reported that WWE had a negotiation with her in April 2024 and she agreed to join WWE, finishing her scheduled dates in Japan. It was believed that WWE showed a major interest in her, more than AEW and the deal was made official, with William Regal playing a major role in the negotiations.

Two weeks ago on the WWE NXT tapings, the NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez mentioned her name during her promo. All these hints that the 30-year-old star could make the jump to WWE by August 2024 and could make her appearance in WWE NXT.
