Is Matt Riddle returning to WWE? Former tag-team partner wants his return

Matt Riddle is one of the most talented professional wrestlers in the industry, who is known for his time in WWE. He had a five-year-long run in the company, where he is a four-time champion in the company including the United States Championship once, Raw Tag Team Championship twice and NXT Tag Team Championship once.

Riddle after a great babyface run in WWE got released from WWE in September 2023. He is now working in the independent circuits and primarily wrestling for MLW, AAA and NJPW. Riddle in a recent interview revealed that a former World Champion wants him back in WWE.

Randy Orton wants Matt Riddle back in WWE

Matt Riddle recently appeared for an interview with MuscleMan Malcolm, where Riddle said that he is still in touch with his former tag team partner Randy Orton. Riddle said that he recently spoke with Randy Orton and revealed that he always wanted Riddle to be back in WWE. Riddle said that maybe he will be back one day, however, he is good right now, especially with his newborn kid.

Matt Riddle said, “I talked to Randy probably a week and a half, two weeks ago about an arcade, we talked about some other stuff, just hanging out.”

“He always asks me if I wanna come back, and I’m like, ‘Maybe one day.’ Right now, with the kid and everything, I’m enjoying my time, and I’m trying to get my life all together.”

“Not that you’ll ever get your life together, but yeah, you know, things have been really good. I’m focusing a lot on myself and other things.”

Matt Riddle and Randy Orton have worked together in WWE dubbing themselves as the RK-Bro and were the two-time WWE Raw Tag Team Champions. However, they got split up, when Orton went on an injury and Riddle was released from the contract.

With WWE’s partnership with multiple promotions all across the world, it seems like there is a possibility that we could see Riddle in WWE someday.
