Solo Sikoa stopped JC Mateo from attacking Jimmy Uso!
This week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown served as the fallout show from the May 24 edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event. The fallout show aired live from Thompson-Boling Arena in Knoxville, Tennessee.
Followed by a backstage segment, R-Truth locked horns with JC Mateo and Sikoa was in his corner during the match. Mateo made quick work of Truth, hitting the tour of islands to pick up the win.
However, after the match, Mateo and Solo started to beat down Truth, who was then aided by Jimmy Uso, who darted via the entrance ramp with a steel chair in his hand. Mateo rolled out of the ring as Solo tried to reason with Big Jim and even retreated, but the distraction helped JC who ambushed Jimmy from behind.
However, instead of joining in, Solo stopped Mateo mid-punch and asked what he was doing. The two then left the ring, with Sikoa appearing to explain things to Mateo, possibly signaling an attempt to mend fences with Jimmy Uso.
This was not an isolated incident as during last week’s show, Jimmy was battling JC Mateo and Jacob Fatu alongside Rey Fenix in a tag team match, and during the entire match, Sikoa, who was ringside, was trying to recruit him.
Solo Sikoa’s Bloodline has been in shambles since early January
While the main turning point for Soloa Sikoa and his leadership in the new Bloodline was losing the Ula Fala to Roman Reigns at the Raw Netflix debut, his problems somewhat began before it at Survivor Series: WarGames.
One of the big tools for any stable in WWE to succeed is the sheer numbers game, which Solo had until Tonga Loa suffered a torn bicep during the WarGames match. However, the main problems for Solo began when he lost the Ula Fala, and Fatu started undermining his authority. Fatu, who was Solo’s enforcer, stopped obeying orders and started standing on equal footing with Sikoa.
Sikoa took another hit when Tama Tonga got injured last month and had to be written off TV using a staged attack by LA Knight. Although Sikoa brought in JC Mateo at Backlash 2025, Fatu again and again made it clear that he wants to go his separate way and wants Solo not to interfere in his business.
It seems like Solo Sikoa has now realized that he needs the numbers game to get things done and to also safeguard himself if Fatu ever turns on him. This might also be a subtle hint of turning him face and aligning with Big Jim, the two men have gifted comic timing and can create amazing moments in front of the camera.
Sikoa potentially teaming up with Jimmy Uso and turning face is likely to be much more interesting. Solo has also demonstrated impressive comedic timing in several segments, especially standing out when Jacob Fatu and JC Mateo stand beside him with stern expressions.
