Is Stephanie McMahon back working with WWE?: Everything we know so far

Stephanie McMahon is the former WWE Chairwoman and co-CEO. She resigned from her duties last year and was not seen on television until WWE Hall of Fame 2024. Stephanie sat with her husband during Paul Heyman’s induction.

Following that, The Queen kicked-off WrestleMania 40 Night 2 to welcome everyone to the Paul “Triple H” Levesque era.

Triple H addresses Stephanie McMahon’s appearance

Triple H during the WrestleMania 40 Night 2 Press Conference addressed Stephanie’s WWE appearance and said that it is great to have back home and to see her confidence back. He also told the fans that she belongs here and that she finally knows now.

Triple H said,

“So great to have her back home, to have her back here, to see the doubt leave her by being here for the last few days, to see her confidence come back, and to know that this is her home.“All of you, all of us, all this business, it’s her home. And as much as anybody on the planet, she belongs here. And hopefully she knows that now. So, happy to have her back.”

Triple H’s statement made most of the WWE fans wonder, whether Stephanie McMahon is back in WWE or not? Now a backstage report confirms Stephanie McMahon’s WWE status.

Is Stephanie McMahon back in WWE?

PWInsider reported that they have heard that Stephanie McMahon has not officially returned to WWE in any form. It also says that she appeared on WrestleMania 40 to personally support her husband, Triple H and the company’s new era.

PWInsider report says,

“The former WWE Chairwoman and co-CEO has not officially returned to the company as an employee or executive in any way, shape or form. We are told that Stephanie did the opening promo on Wrestlemania 40 Night Two as a surprise to give the audience one more thing they did not expect and to personally lend her support to the company’s new era. 

“Obviously, her husband (Paul Levesque) is one of the major players in charge, alongside WWE President Nick Khan, so this was seen by those we spoke to as McMahon putting her own personal stamp of approval on what they are doing. It was not designed to be the beginning of McMahon returning for storylines or behind the scenes duties.”

‘Obviously, she’s more than welcome to return down the line, but on Sunday, what we saw was exactly what it was – Stephanie stepping out in front of the Wrestlemania audience and using her goodwill to help the company.”
