AJ Styles has been out due to injury
TNA Wrestling’s final major event of the year, Final Resolution, is set to take place tonight, and it appears the backstage area has a very special guest.
Former TNA World Champion and current WWE Superstar AJ Styles has reportedly been spotted at the event, raising eyebrows across the wrestling world.
According to Fightful Select, AJ Styles is backstage at Final Resolution, although there’s no confirmation yet regarding his involvement in any matches or storylines during the show.
TNA is also set to hold their final Impact tapings of the year on December 14, but it remains unconfirmed if Styles will appear during those as well.
What’s particularly notable about Styles’ backstage presence is his apparent recovery status. The former WWE Champion was injured during an October episode of WWE SmackDown in a match against Carmelo Hayes. While initially believed to be part of a storyline, it was later revealed to be a legitimate injury that sidelined Styles indefinitely.
Reports from tonight suggest that Styles is not visibly injured—he isn’t wearing any braces or using crutches, and he appears to be in good spirits. This update has fueled speculation among fans about his potential return to in-ring action, especially with WWE’s Road to WrestleMania kicking off on January 6, when Raw moves to Netflix.
Styles’ backstage presence at TNA Final Resolution also reignites discussions about his history with the promotion.
Earlier this year, rumors swirled that Styles was in line to be inducted into the TNA Hall of Fame at Bound for Glory. However, Styles declined the offer, explaining that he prefers not to enter any Hall of Fame while still an active competitor.
With Styles’ legendary career spanning both TNA and WWE, his appearance tonight will undoubtedly spark excitement and curiosity among fans from both promotions. Whether it signals an imminent return to the ring or is simply a nostalgic visit, AJ Styles’ presence at Final Resolution is a buzzworthy moment to close out the year.
