LA Knight is set to face a mystery opponent tonight on SmackDown.

As announced by General Manager Nick Aldis, two first-round matches of the ‘Last Time Is Now Tournament’ will take place on the November 14 edition of Friday Night SmackDown.

Multiple big names, including Cody Rhodes, Randy Orton, Tiffany Stratton, Jade Cargill, Jacob Fatu, and Drew McIntyre, among others, are being advertised for the show. Apart from the first-round matches, the promotion has announced a singles match along with the continuation of the US title open challenge tonight.

The first two round matches concluded on this week’s WWE Raw, where Sheamus and Rusev advanced, and Aldis has announced two more matches for tonight’s show. One of the announced matches has sparked massive speculation among fans.

In the third first-round matchup, Jey Uso will face The Miz, with the winner advancing to the next round of the tournament.

The second matchup in the first round of the tournament this Friday would feature LA Knight against a mystery opponent that Aldis chose to keep secret, which will be revealed during the show. This has led to many theories and speculations on social media, and we have a clue about who it might be.

A new report from Fightful has confirmed that former TNA World Champion Joe Hendry has signed a full-time contract with the WWE. Hendry rose to fame in 2024 in WWE as part of the co-working agreement with TNA and has been a constant feature on the NXT brand.

Hendry has already competed against Randy Orton at WrestleMania 41, answering the Viper’s open challenge, which shows the company’s trust in him. After signing with the Company, Hendry might make an appearance tonight on SmackDown and battle Knight in the first round match.

Assigning Hendry to the Blue brand would not only boost its star power but also create many new storylines. Hendry is currently scheduled to team up with Thea Hail and battle the team of Chelsea Green and Ethan Page for the AA Mixed-Tag team titles at the upcoming NXT Gold Rush.

WWE in the past has sent new signed talent straight to NXT, despite them being major stars such as Jordynne Grace, Ricky Saints, Blake Monroe (Mariah May), among others. However, Hendry has already spent a lot of time in the developmental brand and has become a household name who deserves a spot on the main roster.

When and where will the November 14, 2025, episode of SmackDown take place?
