John Cena reveals major update regarding WWE retirement tour in 2025

John Cena will kick-start his retirement tour in 2025

John Cena is one of the greatest professional wrestlers of all time, who has been in WWE for more than two decades. Cena is a 16 time World Champion, who is considered as the GOAT. However, Cena moved from WWE to Hollywood to pursue a career in acting. He is now a full-time actor and part-time wrestler. Cena returned to WWE in September 2023 and had a 14 week long time in WWE. Although Cena returned, he was teasing his retirement throughout his journey.

At Money in the Bank 2024, Cena made his appearance and announced that he is officially retiring from his WWE in-ring career and said that 2025 will feature his last run. At this stage, Cena revealed the details of his WWE retirement tour.

John Cena on his farewell tour

John Cena recently appeared for an interview with Collider, where Cena shared details about his WWE retirement tour. Cena said that his ongoing Hollywood project Peacemaker season 2 will end by this year and he will be dedicating the year 2025 to WWE. Cena said that he will be starting his farewell tour by January and will end it in December. The Champ said that he got 36 dates booked to pay his gratitude to the fans.

John Cena said,

“I can probably confirm that Peacemaker will take us to the end of 2024, and I can say that with the utmost conviction because I have given the calendar year 2025 to WWE. I am retiring in 2025, and I start that farewell tour in January. I’ll end it in December, and it’s going to be right around 36 dates around the world to pay thanks and gratitude to the WWE audiences around the world. So that’s what I’m doing in 2025.”

Cena continued saying that he is grateful to WWE fans, as they were with him for the last 25 years and just wanted them to say thank you.

“Well, it’s also very rewarding, and I’m grateful. The audience has been there for me for close to 25 years now, so I just want to say, ‘Thank you.’”

John Cena previously revealed that he will be working for the shows, when WWE Raw moves to Netflix, Royal Rmble, Elimination Chamber and WrestleMania 41.
