2025 will be John Cena’s last year in the WWE
Earlier this year, one of WWE’s top stars, John Cena stated his plans to retire from in-ring competition at the end of 2025 to concentrate on his acting career. The GOAT stated that it was finally time to hang up his boots.
Cena announced his retirement plans at WWE in the Money in the Bank Premium Live Event. The former 16-time World Champion would retire from in-ring action at the end of 2025.
Cena is a 16-time world champion, boasting 13 WWE Championships and three World Heavyweight Championships. He shares the record of 16 world titles with WWE legend Ric Flair.
John Cena is soon going to start his WWE retirement tour
The former 16-time WWE champion is going to start his retirement tour and has urged fans to show up and be a part of the tour that will span the whole of next year.
However, as per recent reports, Cena’s retirement tour could kick off by the end of this year. The reports suggest that Cena would make his appearance at Saturday Night Main Event.
The Saturday Night’s Main Event is set to air live on December 14, 2024. The special event will take place at Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Long Island, New York.
“I think he’s either going to make an appearance or wrestle a match but probably just make an appearance at Saturday Night’s Main Event. He may be, he’s kicking off his tour in January. So this might be a kickoff to who he’s gonna wrestle against starting in January.”
John Cena’s retirement tour would be an amazing gift for fans who have cheered for the 16-time champion for decades. It would also be interesting to see which other WWE stars get a chance to be a part of his retirement tour.
