‘The Cenation Leader’ has kicked off his farewell tour

16-time WWE World Champion, John Cena kicked off his farewell tour on the historic debut episode of Monday Night RAW on Netflix. The Cenation Leader expressed his gratitude towards the fandom and laid out his plans for his final year.

The debut episode of the Red brand featured multiple appearances from top stars including The Rock, Hulk Hogan, and Cody Rhodes. Hip-hop star Travis Scott also made an appearance with Jey Uso. Four high-stakes matches were delivered as promised at the Intuit Dome.

During his appearances, Cena stated that he couldn’t have picked a better place to kick off his retirement tour than California. He also acknowledged the demand from fans for him to become the record-breaking 17-time WWE Champion.

The Cenation Leader ended the segment by announcing his entry for the men’s Royal Rumble match signaling his final title run to break the tie with Ric Flair and become the 17-time WWE Champion.

John Cena’s father sees perfect matchup against Gunther

Although WrestleMania 41 is still months away, fans have already started speculating on the match card for the show, and following the return of Cena and his announcement for the Rumble has fueled even more speculation about who he will face at the grandest stage.

Bill Apter on the recent episode of BackstagePass revealed during a Live Q&A his conversation with John Cena‘s father. Apter revealed that Cena’s father picked Gunther as his ideal opponent for the grandest stage.

“I asked him if he had a choice of his son choosing either Gunther or Cody [Rhodes]. He said he thinks Gunther would be the match because he’s got that Greco-Roman classy style, and John’s style with his style would complement each other very, very much,” Apter said.

The 41st edition of WrestleMania is scheduled to take place as a two-night event on April 19 and 20, 2025. The event will take place at Allegiant Stadium in Paradise, Nevada, USA. This is the second WrestleMania to take place in the Las Vegas area.
