âThe Big Red Machineâ has retired from wrestling
Kane, a WWE Hall of Famer, is also the Mayor of Knox County. The crowd for his most recent address, however, saw a glimpse of wrestler Kane, who snapped and struck a security guard with a chokeslam. The great has retired from the ring, but he was inducted into the Hall of Fame in recent years.
The celebrity has avoided becoming too connected with WWE, with only a few appearances in recent years. He has concentrated on his political career as mayor of Knox County.
Kane was making a speech when a security officer informed him that he had run out of time. This was part of a skit. The mayor asked him if he knew who he was, then put on his red mask before smashing the guard with a chokeslam into a table. The music sounded, and the lights turned red, indicating his customary WWE demeanour.
For a brief period, his Big Red Machine persona reappeared. He then removed his mask and placed it in the sack before continuing with his speech as if nothing had occurred.â
âDo you know who I am, right? Yeah, Iâm mayor, but thatâs not all.â
Although the celebrity has spent much of the previous four years focusing on his job as a politician and mayor of Knox County, he has not abandoned his WWE origins.
Making a few cameos here and there, the star may yet decide he has one more run in him. Following his WWF debut, Kane was a key figure in the companyâs âAttitude Eraâ in the late 1990s and early 2000s, defeating the eraâs âposter boyâ Stone Cold Steve Austin for the WWF Championship in his first pay-per-view (PPV) main event at King of the Ring in June 1998.
Given their previous animosity, John Cena may opt to participate in the starâs retirement tour. For the time being, it remains to be seen whether he will return to WWE.
