Kevin Owens invaded the kick-off show with the Winged Eagle WWE title

‘The Prizefighter’ Kevin Owens was not invited to the WWE Raw on Netflix Kickoff Event at WWE’s headquarters in Stamford, Connecticut. The event was live-streamed on their official YouTube channel.

However, this didn’t stop Owens, who appeared during the event and continued to mock the Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes. The Prizefighter showed up to the event with the Winged Eagle WWE Championship and claimed that he is the ‘true champion’.

The Prizefighter also expressed his frustration that ‘a true WWE Champion’ had to sneak into the event because he wasn’t invited. KO reminded the fans of his ‘first title defense’ on December 26 in Jacksonville as WWE security entered the scene to remove KO from the venue.

The Prizefighter complied with security’s request and agreed to exit the building. While he was being escorted out of the building KO stated, “I have the best moveset”. This was seemingly a jab at ‘The Second City Saint’ CM Punk.

CM Punk isn’t a fan of people using the word ‘moveset’

In an online exclusive interview from Saturday Night’s Main Event last week, Jackie Redmond and Peter Rosenberg interviewed the Second City Saint about the show at Nassau Memorial Coliseum.

Rosberg and Punk discussed about Hall of Famer Koko B Ware. Ware, a legend from early SNME days was at Nassau Memorial Coliseum last week for the revival of SNME.

During the discussion, Rosenberg praised Ware’s “moveset” which irked Punk as he interrupted and told him not to use the term. This exchange raised Redmond’s curiosity as she inquired why Punk hated the word.

“That’s garbage… if you say that you’re an idiot… God, especially if you’re a wrestler and you say ‘moveset’? That 100% tells me you don’t know what the hell you’re doing.” Punk stated.

KO’s use of the term seems like an intentional move to poke the Second City Saint. Although the two stars are not currently involved in any storyline, KO performs under the Blue brand while Punk is involved with the Red brand.

However, the two stars have plenty of history that stretches back to their independent day which can be used by the promotion to build up for a potential clash between the two.
