The World Heavyweight Championship is one of the most popular primary professional wrestling championships of WWE. In 2023, WWE brought the title back, similar to the original version. The new version of the title has a lot of key details in the title. Here are the hidden key details on the World Heavyweight Championship belt.

The Eagle, which is sculpted on the top of the golden plate represents the legendary Winged Eagle World Heavyweight Championship title. To honor their family’s legacy, WWE has designed three lions in the title. Two lions were placed on either side of the WWE symbol and one was placed below the golden plate.

Crown

A Crown is placed on top of the championship title. This represents Bruno Sammartino’s crown title (WWWF World Heavyweight Championship). WWE to honor Sammartino has placed the crown symbol on the top of the golden plate.

60 Diamonds

In the current World Heavyweight Championship, WWE has implanted a total of sixty small diamonds. These sixty diamonds are used to signify 60 years of WWE. In 1963 WWE split its alliance from NWA and started the WWWF. To represent the honor, WWE introduced the title exactly 60 years later with the 60 diamonds.

Ring Rope

The outer border of the main golden plate is designed like a ring rope to represent the wrestling ring. The ring rope surrounds the entire main golden plate and also the side plates, making it a proper pro-wrestling title.
