LA Knight signs new multi-year WWE contract: Report

The current US Champion is one of the most highly celebrated stars in the company

LA Knight is one of the most highly popular and fan-favourite stars in the active WWE roster. The Megastar gained fame and popularity among WWE fans throughout the world, which made him one of the unavoidable stars in the company. His popularity has reached its peak, which resulted in a push in his career, making him the United States Champion.

Despite being in his prime, the Megastar’s WWE contract was set to expiry by early 2025, reports suggest. There have been contract negotiations between the company and Knight, but the previous reports reveal that they are far apart on money and the deal was in discussion for a long time. Latest backstage report reveals a positive update on Knight’s WWE contract.

LA Knight’s WWE contract

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select reported that he has learned from the sources that LA Knight restructured and extended his WWE contract with a hefty pay-rise. The reports state that the Megastar will be in the company for the next five years, based on the new deal.

Knight’s current deal will run up to early 2025, however a significant time has been added to the current deal and he got a much-deserved pay increase. Reports noted that Knight had an agent for the new deal and the re-negotiations started immediately after WrestleMania 40.

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select reported that,

“LA Knight restructured and extended his WWE contract for a large money increase and will be remaining with the company for a number of years. Originally, LA Knight’s deal was to run into early 2025. However, we’re told now that significant time was added to it and Knight got what was considered a much-deserved pay increase. We’re told that LA Knight used an agent for the new deal and that re-negotiations kicked back up after WrestleMania.” [h/t Fightful]

Knight is the current United States Champion on his first reign and is all set to defend his US title against Santos Escobar on the August 23, 2024 episode of SmackDown on his first title defense.
