“The Mega Star” is just one briefcase away from championship glory
LA Knight is an American professional wrestler who is presently contracted with WWE and competes on the SmackDown brand. He is also well-known for his tenure as Eli Drake in Impact Wrestling, where he won several belts and established himself as one of the industry’s best wrestlers.
Before joining WWE, Ricker worked for several independent wrestling promotions, including Heartland Wrestling Association (HWA) as Deuce, National Wrestling Alliance (NWA), Full Impact Pro, World Wrestling Council (WWC), DDT Pro Wrestling, Championship Wrestling From Hollywood (CWFH), Empire Wrestling Freedom (EWF), Future Stars on Wrestling (FSW), Pro Wrestling Revolution (PWR), and Ultimate Championship Wrestling (UCW).
Ricker has wrestled under the ring names Deuce, Eli Drake, LA Knight, Max Dupri, Shaun Ricker, Dick Rick Leykis, and Slate Randal.
Throughout his career, he has won numerous championships and awards, including the Impact World Championship, Impact World Tag Team Championship, TNA King of the Mountain Championship, CWFH Heritage Heavyweight Championship, NWA Heritage Tag Team Championship twice, FSW Heavyweight Championship twice, Ironman Heavymetalweight Championship, EWF Heavyweight Championship, PWR Heavyweight Championship, and ECW Championship, among others.
LA Knight also won the Million Dollar Championship in NXT, his first and only championship in WWE. He was ranked No.32 on Pro Wrestling Illustrated’s list of the best 500 singles wrestlers in 2018.
What is LA Knight’s record in Money in the Bank?
LA Knight got his main roster debut in 2022, but it was in 2023 where he started shining as The Megastar. For, the first time LA Knight went into the Money in the Bank match, just to fail to capture the Money in the Bank briefcase.
In 2023, LA Knight was fighting in the ladder match against Damian Priest, Butch, Logan Paul, Ricochet, Santos Escobar and Shinsuke Nakamura as when he was close to winning the briefcase Damian Priest struck him from behind to win the MITB 2023 ladder match.
So, currently, LA Knight is 1-0 in deficit, but he has a chance to redeem himself in Money in the Bank 2024 PPV as he is in the match and he is one of the favourites to win the match as well. It would be interesting to see how well LA Knight will be able to perform in front of Jey Uso, Andrade, Carmelo Hayes, Chad Gable & Drew McIntyre as his opponents.
Do, let us know in the comments if you think LA Knight can redeem himself in Money in the Bank 2024.
