Former WWE star CJ Perry better known by WWE fans as Lana has recently addressed rumors surrounding herself and WWE star Damian Priest. The former WWE star addressed the rumor via her Instagram.
Following WrestleMania XL the WWE universe was buzzing with rumors about Perry and Priest. Lana and Priest appeared together in a social media post for more than one year which led to fan’s speculations about the two stars.
Lana and Priest were spotted at a Raw after WrestleMania post-show party. Further speculations arose when the former WWE star shared a congratulatory post when Priest won the WWE Heavyweight Title. The post included photos with Priest’s family and some of their friends from the industry from the huge weekend in Philadelphia.
On June 2, 2021, CJ was released by WWE with the 05/30/2024 Raw episode being her last appearance on the WWE network. Priest on the other hand is currently scheduled for a Fatal-4-Way No. 1 Contender bout in this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw.
Lana was married to former WWE star Rusev
Perry was married since 2016 to fellow wrestler, Miroslav Barnyashev aka Rusev. Rusev is currently competing in the AEW under the ring name ‘Miro’ after leaving the WWE. The couple announced their separation in late 2023.
Since her separation after seven years of marriage, Perry has been linked with Priest in recent times. However, she has denied the claims stating that the two are not dating. She also asserted that it was just a funny internet rumor.
Perry clarified stating, “No, I am not dating Damian Priest. [laughs] That is very much… that was a funny internet rumor. You know what’s always really funny for me?”
“If I post a guy… it’s like [shocked face] All my guy friends were cracking up in March and April, any time I posted them on [Instagram Story], They’re like [worried face], and all the DMs are like, ‘Is that your new boyfriend?’ It’s like, guys… I have guy friends calm down,” the former WWE star added.
The former WWE star had a shot appearance in the All Elite Wrestling (AEW) for a while. She joined the promotion on September 3, 2023. Her last appearance was in November 2023.
